This other-worldly form serves multiple purposes, providing a scratching surface, a secluded hideaway, and a lounging area. The peepholes perforating the cocoon’s surface provide a convenient way for kitty to survey her surroundings from inside her fortress or to swat at unsuspecting by passers.
