Hmmm…I am really tempted to try this. Would this be an occasional cat food? I find my cat needs hard food also to clean his teeth. But I have to say I am quite tempted to try it.

I totally LOVE Prowl and am delighted to see that this food has merited mention on Moderncat
. We use it almost every meal as the somewhat soupy base for a varied menu of added meats & treats (other organic products). Tracy, your cat might like to try Prowl in this way so that he can still get some hard treats placed or crumbled on top. Our kitties definitely approve–one of them even tries to start eating this stuff before we’ve added water to rehydrate, and he always slurps it down quickly once we do. But they do appreciate the variety of textures offered w/ extra things mixed in. If you use Prowl in combination w/ other foods, it really helps your food supply last.

….aren’t Cats obligate carnivores? …..that means they eat meat. Meat is protein and fat…. and protein is amino acids. Wait…. I thought vegetables were carbs? and honey is a sugar (also a carb)…. and rosemary… great an herb. So you dehydrated it and put in some chicken and ‘love’ …no gluten, no grains…. but still not a diet for an obligate carnivore. Anyone want to explain this to me?
We’re making strides in making cat food ‘grain and gluten free’…. but carnivores are not intended to eat vegetables dehydrated or otherwise. The digestive tract of the cat is not meant to break down carbs.
There are lots of dehydrated diets for obligate carnivores on the market, and if you are so inclined you could do you’re research and even make the food yourself for cheaper than buying this. …..Fluffy will thank you later……and YOU might even thank yourself later……you know when you don’t have huge vet bills.
