You have to bend and fix the remaining wire so that it stands out (instead of curling or flinging against the window or the wall), but when it's flying out there, it works like a charm--kitty can jump for it, bat it around, draw it in from the window sill--all kinds of fun. He grabbed one end on his own the other night and then noticed the other side moved, so he stopped, checked it out and then picked up one end and started to run after the other one (of course this is just like dangling a carrot in front of a horse!) so he was going in circles for a few minutes and managed to make himself quite dizzy.
