Yup, probably the funniest video ever! My husband is going love this (he’s an engineer).

I tried the “cuddling as punishment” just to see if my cat would squawk like that and it was a no go - dead silence! :)

  3. 3 Kellyon 23 Apr 2008 at 9:19 am

    That is the funniest video!

My cat Melody does the “cuddling as punishment” makes me laugh until my fiance makes me stop. She also “beans” maening that when it’s time for human-assisted grooming (baths, nail clipping, furminating, etc) she curls up into the shape of a kidney bean and tries to find her happy place. Her brother however couldn’t care less about pretty much anything and seems to like the squeeze cuddles.

A gem of a production. Reminds me of one of our cats, Shadow, who would turn her backside to my face when I tried to speak with her and carry on an actual conversation. Perhaps she just didn’t care?

I saw this on Cute Overload a couple of days ago! It is a genius video! I love the kitty paw that sticks up in the tuna scene :) I hope they make a series!

Cat yodeling! I laughed so hard at this part my co-workers came running :o)

These guys were great - funny & smart! Wonder how long it took them to film - I can’t even get mine to sit still for a photo sometimes…

    Thanks!

While Heather & Winnie howled at this video, Beltaine stormed off in high dudgeon, slashing and burning as she went. We now live in fear for our ankles! Still laughing, tho. Great video.

I can’t get enough of this video - are you going to do more? Finally, someone else who understands corporal cuddling and its effectiveness! Sadly, my menagerie hasn’t progressed to yodelling :-( but one can always hope - if sufficiently protected with steel sheeting.

Fantastic! I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who uses ‘corporal cuddling’ as a method of feline discipline. Now, thanks to this video, I have an official name for it.
    Loved the cat yodeling.

that was simply amazing…the cat yodeling was so funny!

Intelligent and true, especially the observations of engineers.(Wife of engineer)

The must see video for any cat lover - even if you are a human being or an engineer. Can’t wait to see the sequel.

That was hysterical!!! I had discovered the joys of corporal cuddling (my cat HATES that). But I had not thought of the yodeling part. Genius!!!
    Keep up the good work.

I have to agree with all of the comments already made. If you have ever had a cat companion this is hilarious! Great piece of work, keep em coming!

This is the best cat video ever!

  19. 19 Kateon 01 Aug 2008 at 12:57 pm

    Absolutely hilarious!

My husband always hates it when I make one of our cats yodel, but now I can tell him it’s just part of corporal cuddling.

Kudos to Paul, T.J., Oscar, Ginger and Zoey!

Hey, speaking engineer looks a lot like George Clooney! Is it possible George has taken up documentary filming and is masquerading as an engineer?! My husband, a computer geek by trade [close enough to an engineer for me!] has very determined ideas about cat discipline. I will say, he has trained the cat (most of the time) to come to a bell, stay off the fence and in the yard (I promise, cat is only outside when we are home and/or outside.) I am the training problem. Husband frowns on cat cuddlling as discipline, but I do it in secret when cat is on the kitchen table and I know husband is coming. I quickly scoop cat off the table and snuggle him and kiss him till he squirms (he is amazingly tolerant). Husband calls me ‘the succubus’ when I am making my sneaky moves towards cat when they are reclining on the sofa together…a dad and his adoring cat…I have to annoy BOTH of them!! This is truly a gem of a catumentary. If there were Feline Film Awards, this would be a winner.

I aboslutely love this!!! I do use the Corporate cuddling method of punishment however my baby does not yet yodel. I will need to step it up a bit. Would explain why it doesn’t always work…I will increase the level of CC slowly to ensure we don’t get medieval on their fur. :)

I always claimed that I would not marry an engineer, but I stand corrected: these guys would do!

Corporal Cuddling… golden. I think this vid just made my day. Thank you!

I enjoyed both your films immensely, but wish to comment on the tuna. I hope you are giving them tuna that is made for cats. My cat’s vet warned me not to give “people tuna” to cats as it is bad for them. Do be careful with your movie stars!

  26. 26 Monaon 06 May 2009 at 9:07 am

Awesome! I have to try the yodeling!

  27. 27 Annalisaon 06 May 2009 at 9:41 am

We do the corporal cuddling as punishment, too, but we call it “the LOVE torture”!

  28. 28 Nancyon 06 May 2009 at 12:04 pm

I have two cats, one of whom looks very similar to the fluffy one in the video (and who coincidentally is also a champion lounger). My other cat is also into the feline art, and he also quite enjoys “post-modern cardboard deconstruction” as a genre, although it is sometimes combined with “post-modern paper shredding” just to give it some interest. He also dabbles in “string and shoelace swallowing”.

Love the video! I laughed out loud at work, but luckily no one was around to hear me.

What a perfect world it would be if cats and cat-people dominated! This is a marvelous video. I love the humor and the cats. The “engineers” are pretty great, too. What great imaginations and understanding.
