I came across an excellent post about another DIY cat climber project using the Bjarnum shelves, but this time the shelves are covered with pieces of a rough-textured rug to keep kitty from sliding off. Nice touch!
The original post gives all the details on exactly how to make these shelves yourself, complete with excellent photos. There are even plans for the next phase of the project.

LOVE IT!! My cats climb on all of my shelves, disturbing my perfect sense of order. Living in a >1000sqft Manhattan apt does not leave much room for big kitty jungle gyms (nor would I want one of those eye sores) but, with 13ft ceilings…I’ll report back with pictures! Thanks for the idea.

I wouldnt want my cats on the tv, they sit on it and get the hair falling into the vents, same for old CRT monitors
