If you’ve been to Target lately, you’ve probably noticed that they have expanded their pet offerings. I’m a huge fan of Target and their philosophy of making good design affordable, so I always keep an eye out for their latest cat products. This one was brought to my attention by a reader (thanks, Turi!). It’s a compact and inexpensive cat carrier. From reading the reviews, it sounds like it works best with kittens and smaller cats. The soft material has both pros and cons — it’s safer if your cat is prone to hurting herself inside a hard carrier, but it may be a bit flimsy if she tries to claw her way out. It definitely has space-saving advantages, since it folds up for easy storage, or you can leave it out for them to play in between trips to the vet.

Really cute and sounds from the reviews like it is very good for kittens and small cats who are calm.

I have this and have used it for my 19lb cat. He’s too heavy in a hard carrier. It held up fine.

I have a four sided one that’s a little bit bigger. I live in an apartment in NYC and have a little sign outside my door that give information in case of an evacuation for fire, natural disaster, etc. I have a larger, bulkier one for vet visits, but this one is much easier to grab in a hurry. The sign outside my door instructs that there is one cat inside the apartment, and where to find the carrier (right on the inside of the door in my hall closet). The carrier has his info in it so in case I’m not there, my kitty can be easily and safely evacuated.
