I wish we could get this in town - the only problem with being in a more remote location is that shipping costs on things like this kill you.

every food that we eat should come from Organic Farming. i really get scared about those toxins coming from chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides. I only eat foods which are certified that they are organically grown

My cats LOVE the soybean litter. They get in the box after I scoop and just sit there. Plus, they no longer go in the sink like they did when I was using World's Best. Thus, five stars from me. The product is more sand-like, and doesn't have the odor WBL does - I think that's what made the difference for my two purring fuzzballs.

I've heard back from the mfg and they suggest using 2-3" of litter which is a lot more than I'm used to, but I did try that and today after work no more wet "cement" clumps - so this product deserves 4 stars.

I always used WBCL (3yrs) but found it tracked a lot and wasn't the best in odor control. I tried this, my cats use it (immediately), next to no tracking at all and is 4 star in controlling odor. The litter box is scooped 2-3 times a day and I have found that when I enter my home no cat smell since I started using CTN. Initially when the bag is opened there is a smell, but it went away immediately once in the litter box. My one cat always munched on fresh WBCL without any adverse affects, but doesn't eat this. The one problem I have noticed is: the wet litter clumps like a champ but when left unscooped while I am at work all day the stuff turns to cement on the bottom of the box. I have sent an e-mail to the manufacturer to ask about this and to see if anyone else has this problem or if they have suggestions. I have also noticed I use a lot more of this than WBCL. So here is my rating:
Odor control: 4 stars
Amount to use: 2 stars
Kitty aversion: None
Odor of product: none
Clumping: 4 stars
Organic: great
Ease of finding product: 2 stars

I use to use clay and switched to Worlds Best several months ago, the transition was painless but wanted to give this a try.

I bought this about 3 weeks ago, cleaned and filled up the box and the first thing I noticed was the smell. WBCL smells like wood to me but this smells like food. Some say WBCL smells but this litter is far more fragrant with the smell lasting longer in the air (I didn't like it). Tatia (my furbabe) hesitantly came up to it and when she finally reached the box she proceeded to "eat" the litter. Well that's the sign I was looking for. She continued to act cautious around the box. The following morning I woke to a box with poo/pee in it. Tatia has never been one to cover her poo but nonetheless through the poo and covered pee the already fragrant litter took on a different smell. I cleaned the box clumping was fine but the smell. Later in that day Tatia would go to the box but wouldn't go in as if something was keeping her out. I think the litter smelling like food in a place she is supposed to pee/poo confused her. I got worried that she was going to "go" somewhere else so I immediately removed this litter and switched back to WBCL and all are happy.

In conclusion I wouldn't recommend this litter simply because it messes with a cats psyche. Cats as many animals do not eat and eliminate in the same place and with this litter smelling like food it forces them to do that and this can not be healthy on the psychological level. If you have a cat that has good litter box habits don't use this as you may be asking for your bed to become the new litter box.

I'm excited that it's 100% organic ... but you mentioned absolutely nothing on the performance, other than that you were more excited about it being organic than how it would/did perform.

So ...

How is it?
Does it clump?
Does it offer easy cleanup?
Does it prevent odors like it says it will?

have you compared this against swheat scoop, the multi cat formula. ive been using that since your last big comparison and i find that quite good. the multi cat formula is much better than the regular sweat scoop.
