Do you remember Colin’s Custom Kitty Catsle? Well, Sari from Helsinki, Finland was so inspired by Colin’s creation that she made one of her own for her Egyptian Mau named Mauno. Sari used the same structure but painted hers and added some fun grass stickers. Great work, Sari and thanks to Colin for the inspiration!
If you read Finnish, you can get more details here.

I’m absolutely flattered that you copied our CATSLE plan. The grass stickers are a great idea. Beautiful work !

Thanks Colin, for providing the idea for the structure, I’m giving you full credit!

Oh, how beautiful! I’ve wanted to copy the catsle design myself, the cats would love it, but I hadn’t considered all the decorative possibilities. I’m glad Colin is ok with copy-cats.

Great idea and it’s wonderful to see catlovers being creative on behalf of their loved ones! I still hope to see our Catio and cat-fenced stables compound environment up on CatioShowcase.com. Maybe for the New Year, or something.

I was wondering..what does the inside look like, Colin? is it just three separate compartments or are they little crevices for them to climb up to the next level? I’m thinking of becoming a copycat myself if you don’t mind
Take care,
Janey

Janey,
I don’t know about Colin’s catsle, but mine has shelves behind the open holes, so it can be climbed up and down inside the catsle. The shelves extend from the door hole to the opposite wall and cover about half of the catsle’s width. And are in 90° angle at each other, so they’re easy to climb up. They are covered with a terrace carpet, to make them non-slippery.

That sounds fantastic! Thank you so much for the explanation. I was thinking about making openings at the ends of the shelves but what you described sounds much more fun for the cats. Thank you for sharing your catsle; it’s absolutely beautiful!
Take care

Hi Janey !
Just like Sari & Mauno’s our CATSLE has shelves on each level. The cats can easily climb from the bottom to the top plank inside the structure.
