It’s a brand new year and to kick it off, we have a brand new product from Hepper Home! In fact, this is so new that it’s not even on their site yet! No one else has seen this, it’s a special Moderncat sneak peek!
Introducing the Hive bed, named because of its six-sided honeycomb shape. The Hive bed comes with a removable and washable cover, which we all know is very important! The poly filling ships vacuum-packed to reduce your shipping cost and expands to its full 24″ x 24″ x 6″ size in about an hour. The winner will get to choose from one of four colors: Earth and Sky, Herringbone, Racetrack Graphite, or Spring Bud Green.

Please count me in! My cat is fickle and likes to sleep many places, so I would love to have a Hive for her as well as a pod–I think if I MUST choose, I would choose a pod!

The pod. The pod is the greatest looking cat bed I’ve seen in a LONG time. My cats, though, will sleep on anything soft and fuzzy.

i really love this company….
i would love to get my kitties the pod, the nest, the podium AND the hive….but i think the podium is my favorite….allows for snorgling as you walk by….

I really love the design of the Pod and think my cats would adore it, but they’d also adore this! I’d love to see how Hepper would put a modern spin on cat trees.

I like the pod, but would like to see it integrated into some sort of cat tree. My cat loves to climb and take cozy naps, so a multitasker would be nice.

I love Hepper stuff - in the future (the near future hopefully) I’d love to see a taller cat bed option, something with maybe an extra shelf to jump up… maybe like a larger version of the pod, podium or even the nest bed with more height. My cats love to be high up, and they are both larger males. I think they would go nuts for something just like the podium but bigger/higher.
Great colors though, I love the Hepper Home color scheme. I think this hive bed would be great, thanks for the sneak preview.

I have two very different kitties…. one likes to be hidden and enclosed, and would love the Pod (in Herringbone). The other generally loves a lap, but in a pinch, I think a Nest would be his favourite.

I like Hepper products- they look at function and style. Better yet, their color options allow you to pick what matches your home best. I don’t own a Hepper bed yet; but that’s mainly because I’ve only had my kitten for a month! The new bed is a neat shape and I particularly like the brown/blue color combo.
I’d love to see Hepper apply their designs to some new / different products for cats…. and I wonder how hard it would be to make a pod that had an adjustable height … my kitten probably wouldn’t make that jump quite yet!

I love the Hepper pod - herringbone — but I’m tempted by the orange legged.
And these pillows look great and comfy too - Nugget wanders from sleep spot to spot while Paquita has her bed jealously defended. It’d be great for Nugget to have his own - and it looks big enough they could share.
Products I’d like? A wall mounted Pod - tiny NYC apartment and all my plans for their entertainment are vertical.

I think the pods are cool but don’t think my cats would - I know at least one would definitely not. They like to sleep on the bed, couch and chairs. A Hive would be ideal so they would have their own bed.

These beds look so comfortable. People center on making good dog beds. Unfortunately, much less is done for cats. The hive beds are just awesome. I love the earth and sky.

I’d like to see Hepper create a modern windowsill-mounted perch for cats, using a minimalist stainless steel or plexiglass support (so it sort of floats) and creating a square and somewhat downsized version of the hive bed for the lounging portion. Supports should have option to be screw-mounted into studs, so should be 16″ on center. (Most window perches don’t have an actual mount and are just wedged in, so not very safe for active cats.)
Also, I love the shape and colors of the hive beds (gray is in — yeah!). How about duplicating these in a weather (rain) resistant fabric for use on porches and decks?

My favorite item is the Podium. My 2 cats love sleeping in high spots so anything raised off the floor is great for them. And I like the ones with the Orange/Gray color scheme which would go very well in our home. It’s time for change! No more ugly cat furniture!

The Hepper Pod 2 is absolutely wonderful! First of all, many kudos to Hepper for great customer service! Our bed was shipped promptly, and arrived quickly. I was able to assemble it in no time — even before I saw the instructions! As soon as assembly was completed, King (our Tabby friend) climbed in and curled up comfortably inside his brand new Hepper Pod 2! Thanks, Hepper! I’ve been eying the Pods from Hepper for a while now….but if I get one I have to get two, one for each cat….to be fair, since I can’t have a favorite kitty.

Those beds look great and very comfy. Our senior kitty Pork Chop (17+) has arthritis problems and would love the Hive bed I’m sure.
The pods are very sleek, but they might be a tad small for my other kitties. One of them, my boy Sasha, weighs in at 16 lbs and he’s all muscle. I can see him toppling the pod just by trying to get into it…
But yea, so much neat stuff on the Hepper site!

I love that the Hepper Products are so original. The Hepper Pod always looked cool but I think my cat would love this new Hive Bed the best. I think it is a bed anycat would love! Hepper’s herringbone nestbed for cats is my favorite product of theirs. I’m glad to see herringbone as an option for these hive beds. Anything Hepper can make to give the cats some hide-away space is great for multi-cat homes to help reduce territory stress.

I love the look of the Podium, but one of my cats doesn’t really climb into places so much as launch his full 13 pounds at them… so both the Podium and the Pod would end up on their sides all the time. The cats (3 of them) would love the Nest and Hive though. Earth and Sky for the color.
I would like to see some food and water options from Hepper, or a previous commenter mentioned a window perch. I would love it if Hepper made some multi-kitty beds especially for kitty cuddling! We have one bed that is a little larger than the others, just barely big enough to fit two, and it is a popular place for cuddling and mutual grooming. If all three could squeeze in there, I am sure they would. Unfortunately, the bed itself is a standard blah design.

My favorite would have to be the Herringbone hive bed. I love it! The pod is very pretty, but my cat couldn’t make the jump. The nest bed in Herringbone is also cool. I hope this bed comes out a little cheaper than the pod though

i LOVE the hepper pod bed (well, would love to own one). two suggestions for hepper: a lower-cost line of aesthetically pleasing pet furniture for those of us who can’t always spring for expensive stuff (but still appreciate the aesthetic and craftsmanship) and some sort of cat climbing bungalow–combining an aesthetically pleasing cat tree with the bed/pod idea to encompass a sleeping and playing area.

I like the design of the cat bed, but I prefer more interesting color prints such as leopard or pirate themed. I’m always searching for cat beds and cat furniture, etc. that are made with non-toxic materials - organic fabric, no dye or at least “cat-safe” coloring, and carpeting or textured material like sisal which isn’t chemically treated since my kitties love to put everything in their mouths!

WoW such a cool shape my babies sleep on pillows but with this shape they can curl in a tight shape ball and not worry about rolling off and also two of them can curl up together and have room.

I wish Hepper Home (or some sort of cat product manufacturer) would make an easily climbable table for cats to get up onto…like perhaps with stairs for them. Then, on the table, maybe have it covered in carpet or a “scratching” material for them, but most importantly, room for a very large litter box. It would be great if it had a place on it that would hold open plastic bags for your hands to be free as you clean the litter. I say all of this because my mother is disabled (and so am I) and we wish there was an easier way to clean the litter boxes. Just having them up higher so we don’t have to bend over would be a great first step!

Oh, the pod and the nest are ultimately the coolest Hepper designs! I love them. I agree with other commenters who have suggested a product that’s taller or up higher off the ground. My cats prefer high nesting places — that’s when they feel safest and secure, aside from being curled up on my lap. :o)

Wow, it’s hard to choose which product I like best. I think my kitty would LOVE the podium bed. I would probably choose the pod bed because the top can be removed and then you really have two different products; a pod type bed or a podium type bed. Very cool.
I think a pod or podium bed with wood legs would be nice.

All of my cats would love either the pod or the podium beds. But considering the price they’re just as happy with a cardboard box or a basket from a thrift store that I make cushions for. They would love the new cushion in the give away contest.

I don’t even have my kitten yet, and I already have the Pod bed. I just had to get it with the 20% off moderncat promo. It’s already set up and just waiting for my kitty. I hope he likes it! I got the green color, and it matches perfectly with my decor and doesn’t look at all cat-bed like.

Awww these beds are amazing! I’ve been trying to find my darling Mishka - a seal mitted ragdoll of 6 months - a bed since I got her but haven’t found anything yet to suit my little princess. I’m sure she’d love it as long as I put it close to me cos she likes to sleep on top of a (wobbly) scratching post by my bed right now
It’s so when she wakes up in the morning she can just hop on my bed and cuddle with me.
Whoever wins this bed will surely make their moderncat happy!

Silly me!! I forgot to tell you which bed I was looking at - heehee -my cat loves her own space so the pod, podum or nest would be her fave…she’s loves to hide under/in things and roll up into a little ball.

The Pod is my favorite, especially in Herringbone. I like the Hive bed best in Spring Bud Green.

The Pod seems to be everyone’s favorite! Its mine too… Do they make them people-sized?! Looks cozy…
The Spring Bud Green is beautiful… and would match my office.

Hepper products are all so gorgeous, if only they weren’t so expensive- far out of a modest college budget. The hive bed is by far a new favorite- its reminiscent of benzene - and organic chemistry is so inspiring. Or maybe that’s just me. Either way the Earth and Sky, Spring and Herringbone beds are all beautiful.

I can never have enough cat beds laying around my house, and the ones I have right now are pretty ugly! These are beautiful and would really spruce up my living room.

My person just re-did the living room — except for a cat bed because my old one is ugly and tatty and full of my lovely Maine Coon fur., which she considers unattractive when not attached to a cat. Which means I need a new bed “stat” and one that complements the modern sleek new look. I’m leaning toward the green, mmmm … Nest is sweet too but I’m a big guy and probably would be more comfy on this cushion

At Hepper Home I like these the best! I also like the wave http://www.hepperhome.com/wave.aspx and the pad - http://www.hepperhome.com/pad.aspx which I think you would need on top of the wave.. but the Hive is the best one. Link ot hive http://www.hepperhome.com/hive.aspx .. I would choose the Herringbone or the Racetrack.. I wish they came in RED.. one of my four cats just loves all things red! I have to put red blankets on her bed or she wont use them. This is a great giveaway! Its what cats like best! Beds!
