Remember Ben & Stu? Well, their mom Brieanne (creator of the DIY charging station) decided that the boys needed a private space to chill out so she got creative again and made them a cozy cubby using one of the compartments in her bookshelf. All it took was a fleece blanket for a bed and a curtain on a little rod for privacy and now the troublemakers adorable pair of kittens have a hidden hangout all their own.

Just so you don’t think they’re always causing trouble, here are a few of Brieanne’s pix showing the pair snuggling sweetly. More on Brieanne’s website.

I’d love to make such a hiding place for my cats in my IKEA Expedit bookcase! But I have hardly enough place for books there!
When we assembled the case and the compartments weren’t fully loaded yet, the cats loved to lounge in there! http://galerie.lentilki.info/galerie2006/slides/060811a.html

We did something similar with our IKEA Expedit.
Now I want to add a curtain ! That’s a great idea ! I bet they’d love that.

Those two are so cute (when they are asleep). What a terrific idea. Up high and hidden; a paradise for for kitties! Thanks for the great idea.

Would probably work well with IKEA Billy bookcases, too. If mine wasn’t so jam-packed, I’d try this.
I want mine with matching tabby kittens, too.
