The company that makes this oversize “Commercial Coffee maker” (feeder), should look at dropping the price. Most people who bought this, must haven’t realize that this feeder cost(about or just about) more than any appliance you own in your KITCHEN!!!

My cat is obsessed with food and was constantly bugging my husband and myself to feed him every time we went into the kitchen. We thought an automatic food dispenser would be great. It took him a few days to get used to the fact that we weren’t going to feed him, but now he knows not to bug us. He kind of knows the times that it is set for. He also goes sprinting for the food the second he hears it drop.

this should help my kitties too. i have three now. two are a little over a year……one eats everything and the other is rather picky. The new kitten has to at least try everything……..even stuff from my plate! This should help regulate their diets.

We’ve been feeding our two cats with a Perfect Pet Feeder since October 2008. Minerva has trimmed down considerably, and having a two cat household hasn’t mattered. If you feed small portions often, there seems to be much less stress around how much food they are getting. If one cat (Minerva) is a bit “piggish” and the other (Max) isn’t, the other one quickly learns when the food comes out and makes sure he gets his share. It has worked wonderfully, and well worth the expense. Best engineered consumer product I have seen in a long time.

$500? Ouch! But honestly…in the long run if it helps you kitty keep his/her weight down, it might actually save in the long run with vet bills and all.

this looks great i have an over sizes cat and we’ve been on the diet thing for two years now on and off but we can’t seem to control it.
the problem is i have two more cats who’s weight is just fine so i put their bowl in a high location but my fattie has figured it out and somehow she manges to get to their bowl during the night.

if this can work in a more then one cat household i might be willing to save up (if i change the amount to shekels- the money in israel. it goes about 1900 shekels which is a little over half my monthly salary… yeycks…).
thing is they don’t ship to my country…

all in all a cool and usebale producte but too expensive (even in dollars)

I think the point of the before and after pictures is to show that it WORKS. I know FAR too many fat cat parents who just blow off the condition as “just the way it has to be” because they can’t be bothered to take control of their cat’s nutrition. This seems like an excellent tool to do just that without inducing a lot of stress. Just think how much one overweight-related emergency visit to the vet would cost, and if this appliance can prevent even one, it’s worth it.

I understand that weight issues are a cause for very real concern for some pet owners but really, it kind of makes me shudder a bit to see Before and After pictures of cats! Geez, what has this image obsessed country come to?

I have one cat who would benefit GREATLY from this thing, and I’d even be willing to spend a few hundred dollars on it. However, it’s not feasible for a multi-cat household. Really, though, no automatic feeder would be.

I saw the advertisement for this product here on Moderncat a month ago and read up about it. This feeder sounds fantastic, particularly the stainless steel, washable parts. The price is beyond my means right now, though I am sure it is completely worth it. So this purchase will have to wait. So much thought and care went into the design of this feeder, you can tell the people who sell the Perfect Feeder care about cats. Now we just need someone to make a stainless steel water fountain.

I own the Perfect Pet Feeder and can speak firsthand on the quality of this product. It is worth the somewhat high price. I purchased the Perfect Pet Feeder for my cat, Ohana. He is an extremely intelligent cat and could easily manipulate the “cheaper” models on the market. I was getting up between 4 and 5 times a night to give Ohana a snack!! Needless to say our relationship was becoming a bit strained. I purchased the Perfect Pet Feeder and Ohana immediately let me sleep through the night!! I highly recommend this high quality product.
