Introducing the newest Moderncat fave, Caboodle Corrugated Habitats for Cats from InPlay Products. I spotted this the other day in my local pet boutique (The Noble Beast in Phoenix, thanks ladies!) and I loved it immediately. Made from double-wall corrugated cardboard, this structure comes packaged in a neat little box and assembles into a 20″ x 20″ x 30″ three-story interactive playspace. You can even customize the design by knocking interior passageways into the ceilings/floors. The sleek lines and simple materials make this a kitty condo perfect for a moderncat household.

The reduced packaging already makes this a green product, but add the fact that the condo is made from completely recyclable materials, the white portions are printed with non-toxic soy based inks, and it comes with three “tumblorz” cat toys made from scrap material — this is eco-kitty’s dream home!
The designers of Caboodle obviously achieved their goal of creating a modern, environmentally-friendly, affordable, and non-imposing cat condo that is appealing and entertaining. All that and it’s sustainably manufactured in the USA. Caboodle is available at fine pet boutiques nationwide or it can be purchased directly from caboodlecats.com.

These are fabulous! What a great idea. My cat is crazy for anything cardboard. She would love these.

This looks really cool. My cats love boxes, I think they would approve

Do these remind anyone of swiss cheese? i also like that they’re stackable, and that you can draw, paint, accessorize them to your (and your cat’s) liking!

These are the coolest!
My cats would love to hang out in one!

I really like the material they are made of and the reduced packaging it comes in. Our cats would love this!

The caboodle cat is AMAZING! I can just imagine my cat lounging around in it. Its fantastic that people are merging cat happiness, design and sustainability all in one product! Also, this site is phenomenal, I just stumbled upon it and will be checking back regularly, keep up the good work!

Love the design and the round ‘windows’! It’s great that they though to use soy ink because some kitties are chewers!

This is awesome! I foster cats, and there’s nothing worse than trying to clean up some of the messes that stressed kitties can leave in the deep corners of the big carpeted kitty condo! So while this Habitat is not disposable, it’s inexpensive enough that it COULD be disposed of if the mess was too horrible to contemplate cleaning.

What a great idea and a wonderful alternative to the ugly carpet climber that sits in my office.

Wow! Caboodle is so cool I know my cats would love it!
January 30th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
I really love the look of the caboodle, but I’d be afraid of the lovely cat tearing and chewing it to shreds! But for $30, I guess it wouldn’t really hurt to try!

I LOVE the design, and the idea that you can paint/decorate them to fit your home and pets.

my kitty mina loves loves loves cardboard … she’ll be stylin in corrugated heaven.

This is so sweet! And it would provide a set of cardboard for kitty that is all her own (and the peek holes are a plus).

My cat would totally love this. She sleeps in any cardboard box I bring into the house, even shoe boxes (which she doesn’t really fit in). She also likes to use them as scratching posts. Why do cats love cardboard boxes so much?!

This awesome product looks like great fun for kitties both for climbing and scratching-and when the kitties have had their fun, it can be easily recycled.

My two cats would love to hide and play in this very “green” mini cardboard kitty condo. I’m always looking for new ways to entertain them and the eco-friendliness makes it even more attractive.

Something my cat Tut would totally enjoy-he already likes cardboard boxes.
January 31st, 2009 at 10:42 pm
That is so cute! My cat loves sitting in cardboard boxes but that is much more attractive.

February 5th, 2009 at 8:50 am

February 11th, 2009 at 11:23 am
This is absolutely the most cutest thing ever i would love to get one for my cat Blinky.
February 17th, 2009 at 10:08 am
sustainability, scratchability kitty haven! love this idea as my cat recently discovered the joys of corrugated material. he has completely destroyed his simple box but still manages to ‘live’ in the box regardless of material breakdown and pieces of cardboard that stick to his fur after he vacates the well used property. great find – thanks for sharing!
April 1st, 2009 at 10:31 pm
If our cats had a choice between a cat tree and a box, they would pick the box. This would be a great alternative to the eye sores they love so much. I want one!
July 20th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Love this site. Great to find thoughtful, well-designed cat items. These boxes are so simple, yet brilliant! My cats love cardboard…they ordered me to answer this so they could get one.

Really cool idea, great alternative to the usual cat trees!

I came here to vote for my friend who entered the doodle a caboodle contest. This is my first sighting of a caboodle! Awesome. It is so good to see simple functional design in cat furniture. I’ll be back

Considering that I can barely finish emptying any cardboard box in our house before a cat jumps in, these are a natural! And much better looking than shipping boxes. I love that they stack up.
April 17th, 2010 at 12:24 pm
Oh my gosh!! my cats are cardboard box freaks. I love this because it is stylish and green. My cats will love this for the obvious. Great idea!

Much nicer than leaving the Amazon box lying out for the cat!
