Introducing the newest Moderncat fave, Caboodle Corrugated Habitats for Cats from InPlay Products. I spotted this the other day in my local pet boutique (The Noble Beast in Phoenix, thanks ladies!) and I loved it immediately. Made from double-wall corrugated cardboard, this structure comes packaged in a neat little box and assembles into a 20″ x 20″ x 30″ three-story interactive playspace. You can even customize the design by knocking interior passageways into the ceilings/floors. The sleek lines and simple materials make this a kitty condo perfect for a moderncat household.

The reduced packaging already makes this a green product, but add the fact that the condo is made from completely recyclable materials, the white portions are printed with non-toxic soy based inks, and it comes with three “tumblorz” cat toys made from scrap material — this is eco-kitty’s dream home!
The designers of Caboodle obviously achieved their goal of creating a modern, environmentally-friendly, affordable, and non-imposing cat condo that is appealing and entertaining. All that and it’s sustainably manufactured in the USA. Caboodle is available at fine pet boutiques nationwide or it can be purchased directly from caboodlecats.com.

Of course we have one to giveaway! Would I let you down? Please leave a comment on this post telling us what you think of Caboodle and you’ll be entered to win. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing on February 1. This giveaway is limited to addresses in the US and Canada.

Great idea! Cats love cardboard enclosures and the perforations look just right for curious eyes and playful paws!

How cute. It would be the perfect place for my cat Zane to communicate with his imaginary friends. Count me in on the contest.

My only worry about this is how fast my cat Jinx will eat/destroy this, but oh well thats what vaccuums are for right?
January 27th, 2009 at 5:36 am
Wow, this is wonderful. I’ve been looking for a cheap, but still good looking condo for the new kitten I’m going to get, and this is fabulous! Plus, when the condo has been loved so much that its not holding up, the box could be used to make a new pedistool. Perfect!

looks very clever. i think my cat may like that.
January 27th, 2009 at 6:08 am
These are a nice economical alternative to other systems. The fact that you can “customize” them with your own artwork is a fun bonus. If I don’t win one, I’ll probably buy one.

i’m thinking i could make this myself out of some cardboard boxes, which my cat plays in anyway if i bring something new home…hmmmm
January 27th, 2009 at 6:40 am
that cat looks pissed off!
January 27th, 2009 at 6:42 am
I love it! This looks like something my cats would love. One of them can’t resist any box at all and he’d be in heaven!
January 27th, 2009 at 6:51 am
My cats would love this! They love corrugated cardboard
January 27th, 2009 at 7:09 am
My cat has never met a box she didn’t like. These are 100x cuter than having a box with ups labels all over it on the floor. Adorable!
January 27th, 2009 at 7:24 am
Great idea! much more modern than the basic shipping box I have for them, plus they’ll love all the little holes to poke paws through.
January 27th, 2009 at 7:26 am
Wow these are great. I know my cats would love this. IT actually is very good looking and I love that it’s a green product!!
January 27th, 2009 at 7:28 am
I have two rescued cats who love cardboard! This would be very popular in our house!
January 27th, 2009 at 7:32 am
This would look so much better than the empty boxes I leave out for the cats… plus the non-toxicity is a great selling point.
January 27th, 2009 at 7:36 am
My two cats would have a blast although one of them might also use it as a chew toy.
January 27th, 2009 at 7:45 am
Like it, but curious how sturdy this is. How long until it’s a cardboard mess?
January 27th, 2009 at 7:48 am
I think my two cats would love this! I think the little circular cut-outs for them to peek through are great.
January 27th, 2009 at 7:49 am
This is so fantastic and clever – and yay for being GREEN! Every cat I’ve ever known loves a cardboard box. As a matter of fact, our new kitten was having a problem pooping NEXT to her litter box, so we surrounded it with flat cardboard boxes and now she doesn’t poop outside her box anymore (okay, it’s been two weeks since I got that clever idea, but so far so good).
January 27th, 2009 at 7:54 am
wow. my cats will love this. I pick up corrugated cardboard boxes for them when possible. All recycled, from office or the grocery man. I bet they wil be so excited to receive this.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:10 am
Our cats would LOVE this! Great idea and much cooler looking than anything else I’ve seen on the market! We are also space-challenged and this is perfect for the space we do have.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:13 am
I think it’s great! I love that it’s green and I’m sure our cats would love something to play around on like this!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:13 am
I like that it has three levels…and I have three cats!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:13 am
My furry kids would love this! It would look much better then the lettuce boxes I have stacked in my office for them to play in
January 27th, 2009 at 8:14 am
my cat adores boxes. every time i receive a package, she jumps right in. these look much more comfortable.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:15 am
This is Amazing! My three cats would love this.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:16 am
Oh, those are much more stylish than the reused Amazon boxes my catas are currently playing in! i would actually leave these out when company came over.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:16 am
I love everything about this, such a great idea!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:16 am
Cool—I’m sure my kitties would love to play in it!!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:16 am
These are a great idea. Even if one of my kitties chews it to bits, it won’t be a problem. Nice!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:17 am
oh! my cats would love to rip that one up!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:17 am
perfect. looks great for transient people like me!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:17 am
I think cardboards are the favourite scratching “element” for cats ever. My cats don’t give a second look to the stylish iglus I buy for them. They want their “good and old” cardboard box. The corrugated habitat proves that style, performance, nature and “catsumer” satisfaction can co-exist. Congratulations to the designers!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:18 am
My cat would be gaga over this.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:18 am
Mr Meowy would love this!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:18 am
Stylish, yes; green, yes; inexpensive, yes; ideal? – absolutely!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:18 am
I love these boxes and so would my kitties:)
January 27th, 2009 at 8:18 am
These are great! So much better than the mix matched boxes I have all over the place.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:19 am
kitties <3 cardboard!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:19 am
Sweet! This makes perfect sense, because our cat loves to play in open cardboard boxes. He would have a ball with these.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:19 am
I love this idea – and it’s eco-friendly as well as nice to look at. Thumbs & paws up!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:19 am
Wow, my cats might actually kill for this! They already claim any box that comes into our home the second it’s empty (beer boxes, shipping boxes, shoe boxes, even empty tissue boxes!). These would be a nice way to let them have their boxes without our apartment looking like a trash heap!
January 27th, 2009 at 8:19 am
Whoo – 29.95 for a few cardboard boxes… ?!? They sure do LOOK good…
January 27th, 2009 at 8:20 am
oh my gosh. my kitty dreams of having something like this. she enjoys playing in every box we bring home. but they are always ugly and messy, so we tear her from them and recycle them after a few days. I might not mind keeping these around for a little longer than that
January 27th, 2009 at 8:20 am
Oh, I love it! It’s so much prettier than the habitats I make (think cardboard shipping boxes carved with a steak knife). My little muffins would adore this.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:21 am
I love the simplicity of the cardboard condo. I think it’s great that when it’s life is over it can be recycled easily unlike most pet supplies.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:21 am
What an adorable hide-a-way!! I love recycled products plus the clever design is unobtrusive, modern and sure to be a conversation started with my fiesty felines bouncing in and out, playing hide and seek with the family pooch…lol
January 27th, 2009 at 8:22 am
I think its great…looks like a place my cat would cozy up.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:22 am
This is just fantastic! If I put a fluffy bed in the top and set it in the sun I’m not sure I’ll ever get my cats out! And if they decide to eat it instead that’s ok too….
