We’re very excited to offer for the February giveaway the brand new Maow cat feeder from the fabulous Canadian pet product company Vurv Design. Vurv designs and produces some of the most exquisite handmade pet products in the industry. Moderncat has featured the spectacular Wowo pet bed before, as well as their elegant Ellipse bed. The Maow feeder is the newest addition to Vurv’s sleek and modern line of products.
Maow is a raised feeder designed especially for cats. It is just the right height to provide the health benefits of a raised feeder (decreased stress while eating leading to improved digestion) plus it has a special shallow stainless steel bowl that allows plenty of room for kitty’s delicate whiskers. Made from bent plywood with real wood veneers and metal laminates, Maow comes in six different finish options: maple, cherry, bamboo, wenge, aluminum/white, and aluminum/red. The winner will get to choose a finish. The feeder is approximately 4″ tall, 7″ wide and 8″ deep.

Make sure you are signed-up to receive Moderncat email updates in order to be entered to win the monthly giveaway. The drawing will take place on February 28. This giveaway is limited to addresses in the US and Canada.

I think this is a gorgeous design, just like the ellispe bed, but it can be improved by adding a second bowl on the same feeder. I mean, your cats eat AND drink, don’t they ? At least my Chartreuse does
.
I’m really looking forward to the day this company will sell double feeders. Maybe keep the one-bowl version for people who use fountains, but PLEASE, add a “twin bowls” version ! I used to have two seperate bowls, but my cat dragged them around, so now I use a single base with two large, seperated bowls. I find it to be the best solution.
(and please, think of us poor europeans stuck with purple faux-fur and sad pink plastic ! Could I enter if I paid the transport ?)

I was just wondering if you meant to have ” moderncat FEBRUARY GIVEAWAY ” next to the photo, or else I am just confused. Love your blog. : )

I love it. The design is so modern & clean & artsy.
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:19 am
OMG I have to have one of these, I always look for modern things for my animals. My dog already has the WOWO version. My cat is very jealous!

Nice design and like the raised feeder concept. I use a food can to raise my 19 yr old cats food dish and winning this would definitely update ‘that’ look.
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:33 am
looks very nice!
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:33 am
Oh wow, those are absolutely gorgeous! Total works of art. A bowl like that would look fantastic in my apartment. Please consider sending me one! I’d be forever grateful. So would my kitty!!
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:36 am
I love the sleaky and snazzy design.
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:47 am
Those are lovely.
I have 3 cats. If i win can i have 3? j/k j/k!

Just thought I’d add a comment for Loora – I was just on the website and it looks as thought they do have double feeders.
The 2 series. They’re very very nice.
I have been trying to find my baby something functional but also something that is stylish and matches my decor. It’s true that many pet bowls are somewhat cheesy looking or perhaps just like everyone else’s (you know who you are with the 2 stainless steel bowls in the black wire frame!). I am really looking for something functional, stylish and unique. My baby isn’t like everyone else, so why should her accessories be?
I love these bowls!! Will be keeping an eye on this company for sure. **favourite’d the website**
Take care all,
ali

February 2nd, 2009 at 9:35 am
I love this bowl! It’s perfect for my modern house and our cat won’t have to hutch over her bowl anymore!
February 2nd, 2009 at 9:40 am
This is a fab design. I love taht they sit up off the floor. My boys would love them! And they too are currently stuck with ugly plastic bowls!
February 2nd, 2009 at 9:51 am
What a gorgeous, functional feeding bowl. Its such a piece of art and the design is tres funky!
Thanks again for all of your giveaways!

I just viewed Vurv’s website and they do have twin bowl feeding dishes. Just go to their site and click on Shop Online to see their list of products. It is all very nice but a little out of my price range for a feeding dish. I really do like their designs though and I am sure my little Lilu would love them too!

These are uh*may*zing. I’d love to see a double bowl as well – what is with these kitties that like to move their bowls around? (And I have 3 of them – kitties that is.)
Thanks for another great giveaway!
February 2nd, 2009 at 10:27 am
cuuuuute! would be perfect for my kitties’ shared water bowl!!!
February 2nd, 2009 at 10:39 am
I agree with Loora, two bowls together would be great. But I love the design! Really great-looking and modern home-friendly!
February 2nd, 2009 at 11:39 am
Very nice looking. I 2nd Loora’s wish for double bowl design.
February 2nd, 2009 at 11:39 am
Yes, it would be good to see a design for two or more cats as well. Still, I think it is awesome and wish I had a few of them.

This feeder is absolutely beautiful and perfect for my Magnolia. I set her bowl on another upended bowl to raise it up as she tends to eat too fast and then vomits. The raised bowl seems to help that problem. This lovely design is far more fitting for luxury loving Magnolia (and her mom).
February 2nd, 2009 at 11:44 am
I have been searching for a nice looking, raised, single-bowl feeder for weeks. These are fantastic.
February 2nd, 2009 at 11:50 am
Wow, I like this design. We’ve been looking for a raised feeder that didn’t look like a sawhorse with a bowl stuck in it!
February 2nd, 2009 at 11:57 am
Maow! Maow! My cats will feel so special eating out of these bowls.
February 2nd, 2009 at 12:23 pm
too cool, love the design!
February 2nd, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Those are gorgeous bowls! I agree with Loora though, a double would be even better!
My sad kitty has a very very ugly water bowl with Christmas ducks on it. Yeah. This would be a definite upgrade!
February 2nd, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Such a great improvement on the run-of-mill elevated bowls. My older cats are a lot more comfortable with an elevated bowl. I agree, a double bowl would be even better.
February 2nd, 2009 at 1:03 pm
Love this idea. As the mom to a pounce of six, I’m up for trying anything different – especially if it works!
SO HAPPY you are now on Twitter! Just began following you as I am a total Twitter addict! @stepher
I hope your Diabetic cat is doing well. How are things going???
February 2nd, 2009 at 1:44 pm
These are gorgeous and would totally match my dinning room chairs.
February 2nd, 2009 at 2:26 pm
nice design! Maybe this will discourage my cats from dragging their bowls all over the place, or tipping their drinking bowls. Right now my gang eats/drinks out of metal dog dishes with antislip rubber on the bottom.
February 2nd, 2009 at 3:04 pm
This is not fair, the most beautiful things are only to states and canada I wont’t it too
February 2nd, 2009 at 3:54 pm
The bowls are beautiful and would be a nice addition to any home with a cat. And as soon as my cats get a job they can buy one. $100 plus for a food bowl is way out there. Hope the europeans can afford them
February 2nd, 2009 at 6:07 pm
There is a double bowl design:

There you go ^_^
February 2nd, 2009 at 6:55 pm
have to agree, very nice,
when your cat eats, she finishes and you take the bowl, so she has just the one – one bowl is enough. Don’t leave the food out for cats, they can get fat easily like that;) and the food deteriorate as well…
February 2nd, 2009 at 8:09 pm
They do have pet bowls with two feeders! I want the cherry. http://www.vurv.ca/wowo/doublefeeder.htm
February 3rd, 2009 at 8:24 am
love the modern design!
February 3rd, 2009 at 10:09 am
WOW!!! Very stylish & modern!!! I love them, my cats would love them, & they would look FABULOUS in my house!!!
February 3rd, 2009 at 12:03 pm
Both my cat and I love the design !
February 4th, 2009 at 8:58 am
I love these, they are beautiful land compact where other similar ones are too tall or too big. They’re purfect.
February 6th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Gorgeous but soooo expensive!
February 6th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Wow! Would look fantastic in our contemporary kitchen. I need one for kibble, one for water, and two for soft food so each cat gets her own!
February 7th, 2009 at 2:22 pm
I would love to have this.
thanks
