I would like to introduce a relatively new company, Pet Lounge Studios, manufacturer of eco-friendly modern luxury pet furniture and accessories. I’m very impressed with their true commitment to reducing the company’s impact on the environment. All of their products are handmade using solid bamboo, the fastest growing plant known to man and one of the strongest building materials. One of Pet Lounge Studio’s new products is their Bambu Lounger. Solid bamboo makes the frame extremely sturdy but also lightweight. The simple but elegant form has a unique mattress support system, reminiscent of Scandinavian furniture. A cushion made from the highest quality memory foam helps to relieve pressure points, which can be a huge benefit for older or arthritic cats. The microsuede cushion cover is made with no harmful solvents in the dying process and has a water-resistant inner lining to keep the foam from becoming soiled.

I like this idea. I am always looking for something different & eco frndly…but what I DONT LIKE about it is that it is made in another country. How eco frndly is that when it’s transported so far. If Bambo grows so fast why can’t we farm it & make it here. I would pay a little more money if it was 100% usa made.

This would be great for my senior cat as he has trouble getting up on the bed even with the stairs we installed for him. Love the bed not the price. Don’t any American companies make things for pets within reason? Thats a weeks pay.

We would just like to address “Stumbling Over Chaos’s” comment regarding IKEA. Our Lounger is made using solid bamboo and not pine. Pine is not an eco-friendly material and costs a fraction of what Bamboo costs. Secondly, we use a shredded orthopedic memory foam mattress and not a thin layer of Dacron which is a very inexpensive material that provides NO orthopedic support. Our mattress also use the highest grade ultra suede cover, which is removable. Also, our cushions will last much longer than IKEA’S. Our products are unique and not designed to mimic human furniture like the IKEA bed that you are referring too. The Bambu Lounger makes a statement and becomes a conversational piece, as well as adding to the decor of our customers homes.

I think it’s an awesome design and would love to have one! My crew would be fighting out who got to sleep on it first.
In response to the comment on “land of the tainted cat food” there are many wonderful people in China who are shamed by such horrible things – and many times they are also affected by the end results of shabby products.
It would be great to be able to buy American made products – but it’s very hard to compete with the other countries.

I absolutely do not see the comparrison between this beautiful piece of craftsmanship and the Ikea item. I love, love, love this lounger and would purchase one immediately if finances permitted. My Magnolia would love to spend her days reclining on one of these.

Im so glad you are having this as the giveaway! I havent stopped thinking about it since you posted it, my cats and I would LOVE this so much! They need a great bed and this is a great bed for them. I had an idea too, if they make them a little taller and stackable.. for mutli cat owners, how great would that be.. Kitty Bunk beds!

I LOVE this!!! My cat Patches is always sleeping on my bed but sometimes she goes on my mom’s bed and my mom doesn’t like that very much but how perfect would it be to have her own stylish comfy bed!!!

the memory foam would definite attract my cat and he’d likely actually sleep on it whereas right now, he prefers his beds that are high up as opposed to the ones we put on the floor. it’d be cute to have this little bed next to the two big dogs’ big beds on the floor – the three of them could sleep together if we had one of these
