They look great, but my cat would kill me if I tried to put that on her.

I agree! Adorable, but my cat would never let me put it on her. A friend sent me this email last week and I couldn’t stop laughing. These photos reminded me of it.

From a Cat’s Diary
Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a ‘good little hunter’ I am. Bastards.
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of ‘allergies.’ I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow — but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released – and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now……………

My cat would love this! He thinks he’s a dog.

I’ve been tempted to put my always-cold-in-the-winter kitty in a sweater, but I suspect she would take it off. Thus far we have settled for keeping the heat at 72.

thanks so much for featuring these sweaters! they are custom made with 1 single arm hole for easy access in case they resist.
these are very good cats since they tolerate the sweaters haha. i once made a sweater for my aunt’s cat, she would just be frozen whenever she has the sweater on. kind of a motionless protest. funny.
love the cat’s diary, it’s hilarious!

For Sphynxes, and Rexes, most def. For any other cats, not necessary!

Those are pretty amazing photos. The cats actually look comfortable wearing their neat sweaters. Almost human-like.

@jmuhj: not true. We brought our female cat, Gaia, from Arizona with us when we moved back to Pennsylvania. She does not like the cold. She even sleeps in between me and my fiance under the covers and, if possible, under us. So, we got her a sweater for some of our colder days or night. She struggles when we try to put it on her, but she’s just as resistant to taking it off. She even cleans it lol. There’s one spot where it’s all ruffled up from her licking it ^_^

Ashley, you adopted a feral kitty? I saw the notched ear. I love it when ferals have an indoor home. Gaia is a very pretty black kitty!

@Stephanie: Thanks!
Her mom was a feral that a woman took in to have fixed after she had her litter in Arizona. I’m surprised you noticed that ^_^ I keep having to explain it to our vet. He just doesn’t seem to remember for some reason.
She has some white on her under belly. It looks like a bikini
