These little fur balls are more than just cute, they are some of the most eco-friendly cat toys you’ll find. Paca Pets, designed by Peter Pracilio for Brooklyn-based DesignGO!, are made from 100% organic Alpaca wool. They are individually handmade in the US using absolutely no toxic dyes, glues, or processes. The Alpaca wool is soft and lightweight but is also one of the most durable wools available. After kitty gives her Paca Pet a good beating, just toss the toy in a sock and run it through a wash and dry cycle — it will come out looking like new! Paca Pets come in three sizes, small, medium, and large.

BONUS GIVEAWAY!
We’re giving away three Paca Pets (one of each size), one to each of three lucky winners. To enter, please leave a comment on this post. The drawing will take place on March 15. This giveaway is limited to addresses in the US and Canada. We’ll also choose 20 people to receive Cat Livin’ rats.

These are great for my 11 year old cat brothers to toss around & play with. Great exercise for them & fun to boot! And then I can toss them in the machine when they get too slobbery! A win-win.

I NEED these. My cat drives me insane unless he’s batting around tiny toy mice – which he knocks under the sofa every 5 minutes. My supply is dwindling!
March 14th, 2009 at 11:09 am
My cats would love carrying and batting these around.
March 14th, 2009 at 11:17 am

Do cats really like alpaca wool? I guess they must.
March 14th, 2009 at 11:44 am
Ahh these are so cute and weird all at the same time. Reminds me of something small and huggable out of the Dark Crystal.
We have a cat with a “wool sucking” problem that would go crazy over these!
March 14th, 2009 at 11:46 am

March 14th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
I like that these are washable and can be refreshed. Plus they are super cute.
Being alpaca I’m sure they’re expensive – so that’d play into my purchase decision along with how many times they can be successfully refreshed.
March 14th, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Vinny loves alpaca, he’s always trying to steal my alpaca yarn. I think an alpaca toy would be right up his alley!
March 14th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
These little guys will keep my cat busy for hours! They are so cute.

I love toys for animals made from other animals. There’s something ironic in there.
March 14th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
These would be so great for my cats! They’ve been rather deprived due to a bout of ringworm and can only have things that can be washed and dried. It would be their lucky day to have these!
March 14th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
my cat wonders why she doesn’t ever get any toys.
March 14th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
