These beautiful calligraphic images are the work of Lisa Stewart of ECStewart Designs. Lisa has obviously spent time observing feline body language and she does a wonderful job of capturing familiar gestures and poses with her elegant brush & ink technique.

as i looked up from my screen, maximus was walking towards me… his silhouette almost purrrfectly aligned with the ‘purreth’ design. gorgeous!

I love “Strutter” the most. It reminds me so much of my cat Magnus, who died a month ago. He was such a happy strutter!

I am so obsessed with Lisa’s calligraphy cats! She captures every mood my kitties ever have, and I have to say “Walketh Away” is my absolute favorite! Do you know how many times a day I end up seeing my cats from that angle?! Hilarious!

I loved the CalligraphyCats designs — very elegant.
I laughed the most at both the Walketh and Runneth Away; I have many pictures of my cats tail and rear end — she hears the camera come out of its case and she takes off, leaving me with the none-too-glamorous behind shot (which Lisa manages to make classy!)
