These beautiful calligraphic images are the work of Lisa Stewart of ECStewart Designs. Lisa has obviously spent time observing feline body language and she does a wonderful job of capturing familiar gestures and poses with her elegant brush & ink technique.

My favorite is “Play.” My cat climbs on any surface and proceeds to use his paw to ‘bat’ anything- coasters, little toys, books, etc- off the table.

I love them all, but I think Purreth and Eros are my favorites. I can’t pick just one, as I sit here with one Kali in my lap, Trickster perched on a nearby box, Wicket cleaning himself on the floor as Presto stares down the hall. Remy is staring in from his spot atop his carpet tower. Misha is in the bedroom, Indy is on the couch with Daddy, and Jynx is in his own room. We are a cat family.
