As a perfect follow-up to the recent post about avoiding plastic feeding dishes, this month’s giveaway features a sleek Asian-style elevated feeder from TrendyPet. In addition to providing health benefits by using ceramic bowls instead of plastic, this feeder also helps with kitty’s digestion because it is raised, improving eating posture.
The winner will receive a 4″ elevated feeder with their choice or red or white bowls. To enter, sign-up to receive Moderncat updates via email. Full giveaway details here. Drawing will be held on May 31.

eeek, so pretty!

So gorgeous! Matches my kitchen ware!

Nice design for raised food bowls. Some of my cats have trouble reaching down, but they have a habit of pushing their bowls off the makeshift platforms I provide (stacks of old telephone books). This would be a perfect solution. And they’re absolutely gorgeous, too!

What a great idea. Since cats can’t bring the food to their mouth then the food has got to be raised to their level. Makes sense and I could see why it would help with digestion.

super cool stuff!

Oh please let me win, I want these bowls so badly!!!

I really had no idea that elevated feeders help with digestion, but giving it some thought, that does make a bit of sense.

Tre chic! What modern cat wouldn’t love these!

Wonderful. We are new loft-owners and that would look awesome in here!
Great design, love the raised holder.
(Wonder about additional bowls for when the others have dried on wet food plastered on)

Very classy! I would use them!! heehee

BEAUTIFUL! and matches my home AND dishware… BUT cat’s have sensitive whiskers- and sticking their faces into deep bowls is not fun for them. FLAT “bowls” are best. Whiskers are SUPER sensitive!

Wow – what a great idea! These would look terrific in my modern kitchen!
May 12th, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Very cute.

My cats would definitely benifit from the elevated bowls, right now, they have ceramic bowls, but they are on the floor. That’s tough for Carter, who is 16 pounds (not overweight, just a Goliath!) Maybe until I find an elevated bowl, he can borrow my phone book…

Awesome! I really need one of those, perfect for my little cat!

A very stylish design!! I have 2 newly adopted HEAVY (or big boned;) cats who would definitely benefit from the 4 inches of elevation when feeding. Also, I think it would be a wonderful solution for Anna Lee who has a habit of pushing the bowls off the mats once she is done feeding.

My cats deserve to eat in style.
May 16th, 2009 at 12:17 pm
oooooh i want this!

So cute!

these are gorgeous! at 12 years old my cat, chairman mao, is starting to show his age. i’ve been thinking about getting him some elevated feeding bowls & these would look great in my recently updated retro asian kitchen. *crosses fingers*

This is beautiful!

Very attractive bowls. they would be better if the white bowls had a black exterior the way the red ones do.
May 20th, 2009 at 11:47 am
this is so cute and also good for cats.

This is so cool. I only have plastic bowls and they are hard to clean. This Asian Style Feeder looks like it would be easer to keep up with. I have many many cats.
May 22nd, 2009 at 12:01 pm
I love the style.
May 26th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
These snazzy bowls would work famously in our kitchen, blending in with the asian theme already established. Tyler and Zoe would LOVE to get rid of the second hand store bowls they’re currently dining out of!
May 26th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
Beautiful bowls, but more important is that they are elevated to help with my three darling cats digestion. I didn’t know that their posture during eating was important, but now whether I win (which would really help as times are hard) or not I will feed my cats this way!

I have been looking for the perfect set of elevated feeding dishes for my kitty, and these are perfect. The color and style will match my kitchen decor perfectly. Thanks!
May 28th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
wow these are so nice I might eat out them myself
May 29th, 2009 at 8:32 am
So perfect! Every kitty should have these.
May 31st, 2009 at 7:33 pm
these are awesome. what I really like about them is the bowls look contained in the frame so they wont move around. My mr samsam likes to knock his food bowl over. thank goodness he has not swtarted with the water bowl yet. : }

Looks nice. But it’s not a cat-minded product at all, since cats don’t like to eat and drink at the same place.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
Ohhh i love them, LOVE THEM! my kitties would be so cute eating out of those hehe!

Hi! I love this bowl! It would be perfect for my cat calico cat named Marley because she is highly allergic to plastic bowls! I think the style is very unique!
