We actually use Worlds Best Cat Litter now. I switched to it several years ago when it was recommended by a friend who raised kittens, and our four-cat household has never looked back. It is very absorbent, and it clumps as well as any of the clay litters I used to use. I feel better about using it because I know that cats will ingest parts of their cat litter as they groom, and I don’t worry about this causing adverse issues in my elderly, ailing cat.

I currently use a litter called Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Longhaired cat litter. I own persians and this litter doesn’t stick to their long coat or stain it, is Hypo-allergenic and is Biodegradable. I’m curious to try Worlds Best Cat Litter because its product description is slightly similar, however it also states that it is long-lasting. My current litter is not long-lasting and quite expensive! I also like the idea that it is flushable.

We’re actually using WBCL already. We discovered our upstairs neighbor was using it with his *4* cats and their box didn’t stink… and those boys can really put out! So we figured it could handle our 2 tabbys and it does. Hurrah!
May 11th, 2009 at 4:51 am
I actually currently use WBCL. I started using it because of the environmentally friendly aspects of it, and I keep using it because all of their claims about it turned out to be true.
May 11th, 2009 at 4:56 am
this stuff is pretty amazing; i switched to it earlier this year and have never looked back. it clumps as well as clay litters, has great odor control, and gives me peace of mind knowing that charlie’s innards arent turning into concrete. definitely world’s best!
May 11th, 2009 at 4:57 am
I like that this is safer and better for the environment but so far my cats have consistently boycotted the pans when they contain anything but Arm & Hammer Super Scoop.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:07 am
We currently use FreshStep clumping. I would really like to switch to an all natural, biodegradable litter like WBCL. The tough part is finding one that is “acceptable” to my three cats.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:09 am
I currently use Equine Fresh all natural pine pellets for my cat litter and love it. Its cheap and its a byproduct of the lumbar industry. However, I have heard that this cat litter that you are giving away is wonderful and have always wanted to try it. I love that its eco-friendly and safe for my fur babies! Thanks for the chance to win it!
May 11th, 2009 at 5:11 am
I am now using pine pellets for my cat litter. I buy whatever brand the farm supply store sells. I have heard of the Worlds Best Cat Litter though and have always wanted to try it. I think its neat that its made out of corn. I also love that it does not require mining and massive destruction of the earth to create. Thanks!
May 11th, 2009 at 5:39 am
We tried this a while back but the cats wouldn’t use it so we have stuck to the standard clay one.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:41 am
We currently use Tidy Cats, which works pretty well but we have a lot of tracking issues and it seems like it’s getting effective with clumping than it once was. I like the natural aspect of the World’s Best and also the “clumps on contact” promise.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:43 am
We use the standard Tidy Cat scoopable litter. With 8 cats it gets kind of tedious to change litter boxes, so we also let our cats roam around outside.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:52 am
The biodegradability has me interested. We’re trying to get green around the house, and throwing out bags of clay every morning has been a bit of a concern. We haven’t wanted to switch to Yesterday’s News, though, because the girls have grown up with finely-ground scoopable litter.
May 11th, 2009 at 6:06 am
I currently use Worlds Best. My girlfriend bought some on a whim once, and it blows my mind. It is truly the best litter I have ever used. It has ZERO dust, fairly good odor control, clumps very well, and doesn’t stick to the litter box.
The flushable aspect is also an added plus.
May 11th, 2009 at 6:20 am
We use World’s Best Cat Litter because it is simply the best! A neighbor in our apartment has 4 cats and we were catsitting one weekend and noticed that there was no smell. We immediately asked him about the litter when he returned and have been using it every since.
May 11th, 2009 at 6:43 am
We’ve got six cats, and have been using Worlds Best Cat Litter for years, and LOVE it. It seriously is the best litter out there. It clumps well, it stands up to the activity of multiple cats better than anything else we’ve tried (and we tried all manner of other options – clay scoopable, the stuff made from recycled newspaper, the little crystals, etc.). Oh, and one of the very best things about it – the smell (as in, the distinct lack thereof)!
May 11th, 2009 at 6:45 am
I used to use WBCL, but once I became a grad student I had to switch to the cheapest litter I could find. I like WBCL because it’s biodegradable and it won’t hurt the kitties if they ingest some of it.
May 11th, 2009 at 6:48 am
We’re currently using TidyCats. We’ve stuck with it because that was what our cat had at the shelter. But WBCL seems like a really wonderful option. Does anyone know the best way to introduce new cat litter?
I’d love to use WBCL for my cat because he tends to dip his paws in his water bowl after using the litter box, and I worry about him ingesting the stuff. Biodegradable, dust free, clumping, what’s not to like?
May 11th, 2009 at 6:56 am
Another TidyCat user. Sufficient clumping and decent price.
May 11th, 2009 at 6:58 am
I’ve used WBCL for years and I love that it is flushable and virtually odor-free.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:01 am
We use Worlds Best. We have 5 cats and it works great.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:03 am
I currently use WBCL. Love the fact that I can flush it.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:05 am
We tend to swap off between WBCL and Trader Joe’s pine type stuff. I think the cats enjoy the WBCL because of it’s texture. I like it because it does a pretty awesome job of hiding the smell, and the flushability is fantastic.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:06 am
I currently use arm and hammer, but I’ve been meaning to try WBCL since I have four cats – and need the best we can get.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:06 am
I currently use Trader Joe’s pine pellets. It works really well to neutralize the urine smell of two cats, and I love that it’s totally natural. I used to use World’s Best Cat Litter and it was great at clumping, making the box easier to clean. I also really like that it is all natural, biodegradable and dust-free. The cats like it too.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:07 am
Great litter! Though my dog likes munching on it (clean or dirty!)
May 11th, 2009 at 7:07 am
I use Feline Pine and World’s Best Cat Litter. The most important thing for me is the fact that it’s made from renewable resources (good for the environment, good for the cats). But I will say that WBCL has the best smell — not too perfumey, not too overwhelming. My cats love to dig in it!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:08 am
I love WBCL for it’s low amount of dust and great odor control (esp. the “extra strength” formula). The fact that’s it’s natural makes it even better. I will never go back to the clay litter again. I’d love to win a year’s supply of WBCL!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:08 am
I use WBCL and I like that it’s all natural and doesn’t leave any clay dust like the generic store brands.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:08 am
We currently use Fresh Step cat litter but I would love to try World’s Best Cat Litter, as I understand that there are significant health benefits. I’ve heard great things about it!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:09 am
This litter seems like it would be 100 times better than what I already use. I currently use fesh step or store brand clumping litter, which is always kicked all over the place by my mischievous kitty. The stray litter scratches the floors if anyone steps on it too. The other problem with my current litter is that it is not all natural and therefore not very good for the environment. I think the world’s best litter would make me feel like I’m not harming the environment w/ litter and waste was it is all natural. From the description on the website, it seems like it would be an overall improvement to litter box clean up too!!! I’m sure my cat would love to get his paws in it!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:09 am
i’m currently using cat attract because one of my cats had decided to stray away from the litter box when i was using feline pine, which was what they were using at the aspca so i figured i’d keep it constant. cat attract works amazingly, but i think i’ve got him back on track and am looking to make a change soon, maybe to wbcl!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:09 am
great litter…………..would love to try it
May 11th, 2009 at 7:10 am
We actually use the World’s Best Cat Litter, following lots and lots of trial and error with just about every other type of litter out there. The only thing that put me off about the World’s Best at first was the price, but actually it is very good value as you really don’t end up using all that much of it. The clumping is AMAZING, it sets rock hard, so it’s very easy to scoop. It’s great that it is flushable and the odour control is also really good, so winning a year’s supply would be awesome!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:10 am
We use a traditional clumping litter. WBCL sounds interesting because of the lack of synthetic perfumes.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:10 am
WBCF! Because it’s awesome!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:10 am
i currently use arm and hammer litter. I have tried other types of litter but my cats do not like the big consistency. This litter seems like it is more like the litter they are used to …but its all natural which is great! I have thought about toilet training my cats but i wouldnt have to if i switched to this type of litter.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:11 am
I currently use Fresh Step cat litter but would love to try WBCL. Even if I don’t win, I will still try WBCL and use the $2.00 coupon they provided!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:11 am
I now use any decent scoopable litter that is on sale. I am most impressed that this litter is safe to use for me and for my cats. I have not seen it for sale in this area but would purchase if it was available and on sale.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:12 am
I use World’s Best litter. Have tried so many different ones and this is definitely the world’s best. I have a Litter Robot and WBCL works great in it – it clumps and is dust-free. I’m so happy to have found a litter that is better for my cats, better for me and better for the environment. You can’t lose!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:12 am
I’d love to try the health benefit aspects of World’s Best Cat Litter, but if I win, I’d have to give the years’ worth to the local no-kill shelter. They need it more. That would really help them out.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:12 am
I currently use Swheat Scoop but would be willing to try WBCL if it were cheaper and worked just as well.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:12 am
Okay – I just watched the video and I love the idea of no dust, which I’m convinced is giving me & the kitties some horrible lung condition. I do worry about them licking their paws too. After seeing the clumping, I’m pretty sold!!
I’d love to win!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:13 am
I’ve been perusing the selection of natural/organic cat litter, just because we’ve only recently had our cat (for a couple of months now). So far I really like WBCL and Schweet Stuff.
I love that WBCL is natural and earth friendly. It’s important to me that my cat likes the litter so it definitely doesn’t hurt that I’m not creating more of a devastating blow to the environment either.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:13 am
I currently use Fresh Step clumping or Tidy Cat clumping. WBCL sounds good – especially that it’s good for the earth & cats part & the odor control part.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:13 am
We currently use WBCL, and our cat absolutely loves it. It clumps much better than similar litters made from corn or wheat. It also lasts much longer and doesn’t create nearly as much dust.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:13 am
I currently use Dr Elseys clumping litter, I like it, with 7 cats I need a well price option, but would much prefer a more natural litter!
May 11th, 2009 at 7:14 am
I just got a new kitten Saturday and bought World’s Best Cat Litter for the first time. It’s awesome and even smells good! I was concerned that my new kitten might not know if was litter because it doesn’t smell like the clay litter the shelter used, but she jumped right in.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:14 am
I use the TidyCats “Breeze” system, which is actually a mix of pellets that dehydrate the feces, and a pad which captures the urine. It does a decent job at eliminating smell (although I’m sure that the Method air freshener I keep in the bathroom helps, as well). One of the things I like best about the Breeze system, and something you don’t hear people talking about when considering cat litter/care, is that as a disabled person, it’s much easier for me to maintain the cat litterbox with with Breeze system. The pads/pellets aren’t heavy, removing weight issues for getting the litter into the house, as well as removing weight issues for the trash, when scooping/throwing out.
I know that weight/difficulty in keeping the litterbox clean is something a lot of people don’t think of, which is the main reason I wanted to bring it up here. WBCL was great when I had two fully functioning arms, but these days, I need to use something else.
May 11th, 2009 at 7:14 am
WBCL is really one of the best cat litters that I have ever used, and love to continue to use. I do have one question. I was told that cats have natural allergens to corn. Is that true?
