It’s about time they did something about the dark black hole that cats must enter, that was the biggest complaint I had about it, black inside, no light at all and of course eventually the odor permeates the plastic and no way of getting rid of the smell. I was a fanatic about cleaning, emptying and still it now sits in my storage unit because eventually after one year’s use it just plain stunk. My one cat never did get the turning and sticking her head outside of the unit, lots of times she just went with her butt sticking outside. It just isn’t big enough inside,my cat isn’t large but she is tall and always exited the “Bot” shaking her head. It works for some cats and doesn’t for others. I may drag it out one day, hose it down and donate to a shelter.

6 litter robots? geezeo that’s crazy, you’re *the* cat woman!!

…I used to have a litter robot. Sadly we had to return it. I think the improvements they’ve made though are almost exactly what our cats didn’t like… our biggest issue is we had one cat (out of two) that would kind of stand at the edge of the globe not always totally in.

Other than that, it’s a super cool product that actually delivers on the promise of an automatic scoop system (whereas others I’ve tried were more work maintaining them than just scooping). The size of it is probably an issue for most apartment dwellers, though.

The customer service at Litter Robot is beyond outstanding though.

We would love to have about 10 Litter Robots, but we cannot afford one right now. One of our kitties has been sick, and we have spent a lot of money for his treatment.

I bought 1 Litter Robot a couple of years ago, but my kitty family has growwwwn… I now have 10 kitties and only one Litter Robot, along with a couple of regular litter boxes, which are a huge hassle to keep clean.

Too bad I can’t afford a litter robot. I have the world’s stinkiest cats. I had no idea two little cats could poop so much! I agree with Mo (and it’s not ModernCat’s fault, blame the Litter Robot people). No fair that you have to own one in order to win one. What about us poor people?

I am maybe the biggest fan! I have six litter robots (for about 8 cats and various kittens at time) and just bought two new bubble globes – my cats are fairly big and it was only rarely a problem for them to use the robot correctly but I do like the bubble – it gives more room and some light. I’ve tried other automatic boxes but this one really works and cleaning litter boxes is SO much better now!! When I have small kittens, I just turn them off and run manually as needed. The new ramp and lip extender are both a huge help in keeping litter from being kicked out.
