That's probably why you were having problems with it clumping during your tests, but in real life usage, it's great. I tried a few before eventually settling on it. I'm always on the look-out for a cheaper safe litter for my rabbits. It's crazy what is charged for a bag of Carefresh, which is essentially just recycled newspaper. I've since switched to Feline Pine and just get the cheaper Trader Joe's version. Tip: line the bottom of the box with 2 layers of wax paper. It makes clean up easier. This litter is also flushable. Petsmart and Pet Supplies Plus also carry it.
