I don't think the cat would be entirely comfortable in there, it looks too tight. And besides, riding on a bike without padding wouldn't be so good either. And buckles would be preferable to velcros.
It is an aesthetically pleasant object, but I would go on buying the rectangular ones, they are more practical.

Cats are better off left at home. They aren't luggage. Try to see things from a cat's perspective. I think most would not find this very enjoyable.

Now, that's innovative !! I'd buy it in a minute, provided it's reasonnably priced, and the velcros are replaced with good buckles, like someone said in a comment above.

This would be terrifying for a cat! I agree with the person who said that if you want to get your cat to the vet, this would not be the ideal way to transport him/her. A cat stroller on the subway would be a better ride for a cat than a bumpy bike ride.

love it! I have tried to take my more adventurous and transport friendly cat with me in my bike basket (securing his harness to it) but he was not having it and we only went a few feet before we both got nervous. This would be great but I wish the cat could see out a bit better. Nice green travel idea too!

Ouch! Looks like a bumpy ride! I hope he incorporates some kind of shock absorbing mechanism. I think for the same reason the small size is good in this case. Less room for the cat to bounce around in while riding or (heaven forbid) in a fall.

As a bike commuter, I think a product like this would be great! The only thing with which I find cause for concern would be the potential for jostling - I know the roads where I live are not the best maintained, and I'd hate for my unrestrained animal to bounce around inside a plastic shell. Maybe some padding or a carpet patch for the cat to claw onto? That being said, I also don't want him strapped to my back in case of kitty freak outs. It would be hard to steer straight with Charlemagne claws in my neck.

For people who can bike to the vet, it's likely a great way to carry their cat, but I'm imagining my 12-lb tabby throwing his weight to one side or the other, putting me off balance! Or the 17-lb cat I grew up with! :-)

In the car, I think this is too apt to roll during turns. I prefer my regular rectangular carrier with a seatbelt catch just in case.

Does kitty need a bike helmet?

This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen! Living in a city, without a vehicle, walking a heavy cat to the vet is not always an easy task. Now if I could strap him to my bicycle... brilliant. I would buy one of these in a heartbeat.

I don't think it's for the cat's pleasure.. This would be a nice way to transport your kitties to the vet or your holiday address... I would much rather bike with my cats than carry them by foot! One problem might be carrying two of them as the cocoon is quite small.. but then again, I guess you could buy one for the front and one for the back! The other problem is getting them in there. My cats are naturally curious and I've never had troubles getting them to walk into a cat carrier, but if you want to get your seriously ill cat to the vet, this would not be the ideal way to transport him/her (way too uncomfortably small). Yet, interesting concept that I would be glad to try if it was available.

Kinda interesting, but, I agree with Ingrid! I think something like a backpack with good support and wide cushioned back/shoulder straps would provide one more level of isolation from road bumps and shock for the cat. Actually if a good suspension was adapted to this concept so it would wear on the rider, like a backpack, it would be a significant improvement. I like the container design a lot. I would want positive-locking buckles, NOT Velcro for my kitty!
