Cats love cardboard scratchers but we can do without the cardboard flakes all over the floor. Here is a solution from Cat Above Company.
The new ScratchPal™ is a patent-pending cardboard cat scratcher that contains the cardboard flakes. The high sides, broad lip, and side channels of the scratcher accumulate scratched off particles and prevent cardboard particles from scattering on the floor. The ScratchPal includes a long-lasting, super dense, 2-inch thick cardboard scratching pad that pops out for easy replacement and can be used on both sides.
Made of cabinet-grade birch plywood, the ScratchPal has small feet to elevate it off the floor. It’s also heavier than a regular cardboard scratcher, so it doesn’t slide across the floor when the cat uses it. With simple clean lines and natural materials, the ScratchPal would look good in any home.
Limited time offer: FREE SHIPPING when you buy the ScratchPal (U.S. contiguous states only). The ScratchPal sells for $39.95 US.

One of my four cats loves clawing anything cardboard. I often leave out boxes for them to play in and she shreds them – this would come in handy and keep the floor clean as well.

I’d love to win this. My cats adore their “Alpine Scratcher” but it’s ugly, cheap-looking, and you’re right — it scatters cardboard everywhere and makes a mess.

Pasquale, Hermione and Ansel say “Please”.

Our two cats would love this, since their old scratching tree was discarded in a move. The new one isn’t quite up to snuff for them. Maybe this would do the trick!

The ScratchPad is is every cat owners dream come true! With this ingenius concept, not only your furniture, but your carpets and floors will be much easier to keep clean as well. But the frosting on the cake is for the cats themselves: ours love their scratching pads – but they are also crazy about boxes – ALL BOXES. The ScratchPad is lke two gifts in one the pleasures of the stratch pad – with the comfort, security and whatever else make cats love boxes! Bon Idee.

This is an awesome product – I have 2 cats with the cardboard inserts all over my house. Those little bits and pieces of cardboard are everywhere – they get stuck to your shoes – track them throughout the house – it is annoying. It is a shame they are not giving away 2 of them. I could really use them. Though one is just as good.

I have 3 cats who would love this–thanks for the chance to win!

I LOVE this idea. Im a design student about to embark upon a cardboard furniture project (for humans). Im digging the renewable resource approach to pet toys/furniture. My 2 cats go bananas over cardboard boxes and scratch pads… but as everyone notes : its a pain to clean up after. Brilliant, and obvious, solution! I want one…
