I volunteer at Tabby’s Place and it really is a wonderful place!! Ben is in my suite and he is such a sweetheart! When you come in the room, he purrs and purrs The pic above of the two kitties rolling around (under the cubicle picture) are “my” boys Rusty and Sonny. Glad to see a picture of them up here!

Wow, I am so impressed! This place looks amazing! I wish all shelters and sanctuaries could provide this kind of loving, comfortable and spacious environment. This is such a special gift to these kitties. I am so glad it exists and can help.

Tina, I live in the Metrowest area, and there are places that try to do as much for kitties. SPIN, at PetWorld in Natick, is a wonderful place, that was started by an Animal Control Officer who just couldn’t stand the idea of so many animals being taken off the streets just to be killed, so she started a shelter! The adoption center is in the store. It’s right on Rte. 9, and the store itself is doing well, despite the fact that the two biggest pet supply chains are within 1/2 mile of it.

This is probably one of the most inspiring posts I have seen here. I just recently started volunteering at the animal shelter near where I live. Since I have been working with a lot of cats, it gave me the idea of opening a cat sanctuary myself in the future. Reading about Tabby’s Place gave me many great ideas and has been a true inspiration. I can’t wait to visit the facility one day!

Truly great place. I really wish there was a place like that near me in the Boston/Metro West area. I use live in Miami and there is a wonderful lady and her kennel for cats only, A Country Cat House. It’s a really nice facility and the staff are really friendly and helpful. They try their hardest to make the cats feel at home and give them play time everyday. There kennels give the cats views to the outside, so that they can watch the birds, insects, and geicos!

OMG – I love this place!! The cleanliness, the caring people, everything is just amazing. I keep watching the videos of Tashi. With all the love and attention and therapy he’s getting, he cant’ go wrong. I wish I was closer so and see the facilities (I live in Western Canada) so its’ a bit far. I’ll be checking in to see Tashi’s progress and any other happenings at the sanctuary. I’ve shared this email with the animals lovers at work and they’re amazed as well. Keep up the fantastic work, it doesn’t go unnoticed!!

Could Modern Cat set up a special fundraising drive for the orange cat Ben who has a painful eyelid disfiguration. This should be surgically corrected it is causing him a lot of discomfort and has a lot to do with him wanting to hide. I have personally seen a cat with this and it is not something that should be left untreated for any length of time. I bet we can raise enough funds quickly for this needy cat so he can have the corrective surgery.

If they think he is not in discomfort or distress they are wrong. This needs to be taken care of.

I volunteer at Tabby’s Place, and can tell you that the people are as good as the facilities. There’s work involved in making sure the cats are properly cared for, and everyone does their share — and then some.

I was able to get a full tour of Tabby’s Place, from Angela, this June. I have to tell you, the photos were NOT taken after the place was cleaned up, or anything like that. It is really in that kind of wonderful condition. When I was there, I got to see some kittens that were newly rescued, and their mama, and I got to visit every suite and room except the hospital.

Angela is a wonderful person, and LOVES what she does. She and everyone there know each and every cat. I was so impressed. It got to see Tashi getting his PT, and it is done with great love. Although Tashi would have you believe that everyone is against him. grin

Thanks to this post, I now sponsor Ben, a special need kitty with kidney disease. They are such good people there, I can’t describe how delighted I was to see such a nice living environment (and modern!). They even called me to thank me, I’m so impressed with them!

I donate to them, even though I’ve never been there. It’s just such a wonderful idea! Every month I get updates on “my” cat..they tell you how s/he’s doing and have photos, etc. I hope to go up there one day, but until then, I’m sponsoring kitties from 1000 miles away!
