They're easy to maintain and there are many great finishes and stains for concrete now. Mom's seen kitchen alcoves and things in concrete! We live in a mid-century modern ranch-style home. Not upscale enough to be an "Atomic" ranch haha but we loooooove that coffee table! If only mom's parents hadn't gotten rid of that orange naugahide couch =( Times are tough now ( mom's lost two jobs in 2009) and to see someone working within a decent budget is pretty refreshing. I am not too sure the neighbors are hip on the colors though! Concrete Floors are fantastic. You can get a million different colors blended and it is very pretty with a large rugs. Very pet friendly too. Carpeting houses a ton of dirt and allergens. Soo many pets have allergies and we don't even know it! It’s a wonderful Eco-friendly remodel.
