We’ve been hard at work making improvements to Moderncat and we now have a fresh new look! A lot of the changes were based on the feedback from the reader survey and the new format is meant to give you better access to the information you’re most interested in. Here are some of the new features:
- The home page now has a featured post followed by short summaries of the most recent posts so you can take a quick scan to see if you missed anything. Click the “continue reading…” links to read the whole story.
- Easily access all the archives using the category navigation at the top of every page. Main categories are DIY Projects, Giveaways, Products, and Other.
- When you click on a category, you will see a summary page of all the posts in that category. Again, just click the “continue reading…” links to see the whole story.
- You can also use the “previous entry” and “next entry” navigation at the bottom of each post to go from one post to the next.

I like the new look, but I am going to miss the cat in the banner from the old look. I’ve always wondered who that cat belonged to, and what its story was. It is a very classy looking cat!

The cream tabby in the green Hepper pod on the old banner is my cat Simba. I’ve been told that it’s rare to have a female cream tabby, so she knows she’s special.

Our two cats might compete to get cozy in this adorable cabin. We would have to buy one for each!
