Great interview! Not to be intrusive, but I got the impression that you ran Moderncat from home. I recall a photospread on Apt Theraoy with 3 lovely felines all over your newly designed workspace. (Which was lovely too.)

Babs:
Yes, I do have a home office where I spend a lot of time working with cats on my desk (that’s the best!) but I also have a studio where I’m working on developing a line of handmade cat products – stay tuned for more on that soon!

Loved the interview !! You truly are inspired and inspiring !!
I enjoyed the “catio” part. It is so very true that in France, and Europe in general, nobody builds catio, not even crazy cat ladies (don’t get me wrong, this is said in a loving tone). If you can, you let your cat out. My beloved Be Bop has been going out in our garden ever since we moved into our new house.
We weighted the pros and cons: of course, we may shorten her lifespan in allowing her to go out. On the other hand, it’ll be hard for her to go on the street, and she seemed so happy when I let her out. Grass and tiny animals to chase, cat-friends who come over (these are not strays and she’s got every vaccine she needs, plus she’s neutered, has a collar with our adress and phone number, and an ID tag implanted under her skin).
My only increasing fear is theft: she’s very sociable and immensely beautiful, plus she’s a purebred and has a financial value. Poeple stop to look at her when she’s resting near the window overlooking the street. Fortunately, she only seems to need our garden and our neighbor’s, and spends plenty of time in the house. Right now, she’s purring on my laps. It’s Be Bop time !
I’ll be back to check on your Superzoo reviews !!
