I first introduced you to the fabulous Kitty Wigs last year, and now, just in time for Halloween, Chronicle Books has released the first ever Kitty Wigs book, Glamourpuss: The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs. Featuring photographs by Jill Johnson and a foreword by the one and only Heather Armstrong of dooce.com, this book is guaranteed to be a hoot! Kitty Wigs are the brainchild of Julie Jackson, also the creator or Subversive Cross Stitch (warning! some adult content here, but it’s humorous!)

BONUS GIVEAWAY Enter to win the book!
Chronicle Books is giving away a copy of Glamourpuss to one lucky reader! Please leave a comment on this post to enter. One winner will be chosen in a random drawing on November 3 and contacted via email. One entry per person. This giveaway is open to US and Canadian addresses only.

October 27th, 2009 at 9:18 am
funny wigs, great photos, indulgent cats!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:18 am
Ya ok thats horrible. My cats would probably kill me in my sleep if I did this to them. Nevertheless I am intrigued
October 27th, 2009 at 9:18 am
Kinda Castro, kinda cool!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:18 am
This is really cute
October 27th, 2009 at 9:21 am
The idea of Kitty Wigs is just outrageous. My cat won’t come near anything to go on her head…And they are outrageously funny- especially when your cat IS like that…
October 27th, 2009 at 9:22 am
I WANT this book!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:23 am
this is hilarious. one of my cats might tolerate a wig long enough for me to snap a photo, but my other one would never let me put a wig on her!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:25 am
Oh my gosh! I’ve been the biggest fan of kittywigs for years!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:25 am
These kitty wig pictures are hilarious! I would never be able to get my cats to sit still and wear a wig long enough to take a picture of them.
October 27th, 2009 at 9:25 am
My cats would wig out with this book!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:26 am

October 27th, 2009 at 9:27 am
The book looks adorable! None of my 4 cats would tolerate a wig ….
October 27th, 2009 at 9:29 am
What patient kitties. The wigs would end up as cat toys in my house, but then again, everything does.
October 27th, 2009 at 9:35 am
I’d love to start a collection of cat books, please!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:38 am
No idea how they got those cats to keep the wigs on longer than 1.7 seconds, but super cute!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:40 am
absolutely fabulous!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:42 am
A wig would last about 3 seconds on my kitty. These cats are truly patient.
October 27th, 2009 at 9:45 am
I would love to put a wig on my cat for halloween!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:47 am
Now, I’ve seen it all – Kitty Wigs! That’s hilarious. I just may have to go to Amazon.com and pick up a copy, and show my four furballs all the excitement they have been missing!
Well, except for Caesar, he’s a Himalayan, and wishes that he had shorter hair – easier to groom first thing in the morning, eh?
October 27th, 2009 at 9:48 am
Love it!!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:48 am
I know that it’s wrong, but I just love the kitties in wigs!! My kitties would NEVER let me try one on them… even though they would look MAH-VELOUS!!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:51 am
My mom just lost her cat today and could use a pick me up. I would love to give her this to make her feel better.
October 27th, 2009 at 9:54 am
I usually love everything you feature, but I find this a bit strange. I prefer cats with their lovely pointed ears & naturally plush foreheads -& my cats feel the same way on the subject of wearing wigs!
October 27th, 2009 at 9:58 am
I don`t think any of my cats would tolerate wigs, but I just might try. I `ll make sure someone is close by to dial 911m just in case!! LOL
