jmuhj — The boys probably won’t have as much “special construction,” but they will have almost three-times the amount of space, an actual upstairs, and varieties of fauna to observe out the windows. They will undoubtedly prefer the new destination… Not so sure about myself, however!

Thanks for all the great comments — and thanks to Kate for such a glowing feature.

Out of everything I had to source, the flanges were the hardest of everything to find. Not difficult to find the right size, but most are raw iron, designed for use underground or for industrial installations — not for where they would be seen. Unfortunately, I do not still have the source for where I eventually found the finished, stainless steel ones. I do recall that they were about $65 each, though.
