I wanted to share with you these beautiful pen and ink drawings by my friend, Phoenix-based artist Ross T. Boyd. Ross has been drawing animals of all kinds for decades, spending hours and hours on each image. These are some of my favorite images of house cats, especially the first one, called “Cattitude,” which looks just like my new kitten McKinley.
Ross shows his drawings at various art events around town, and he now has a CafePress store so animal lovers everywhere can get Ross’ drawings on all sorts of merchandise. Right now the shop includes Ross’ house cats as well as some of his wild cat drawings. I really really like the kitten and the frog drawing the best because it has my 2 favorite things together. kittens and frogs!
Beautiful drawings. I am considering ordering something from his site, not sure what it will be, but i know it will have the kitten and the frog picture on it for sure. Thank you for introducing this wonderful artist!

I love the siamese. My parents had one when I was growing up and I used to chase him around the house to pull his tail. He would hiss at me but never bite. He was the most gorgeous cat ever.

Cattitude is my favorite. The word “cattitude” is also one of my favorites to describe cats. I use it all the time when there is just no better explination for their quirky ways.
