Introducing blanketID, another great way to help protect your cat in case they get lost, plus, with this system, you’ll be helping other animals in need at the same time! This Victoria, BC-based company is dedicated to helping pets. They have created a line of very stylish ID tags that each have a unique ID number. Pet owners register the ID online at blanketID.com and enter your contact information as well as a description and photos of your pet. If your pet is lost, simply report your pet as missing through the website and blanketID sends a broadcast email to local SPCA, animal hospitals, shelters, other local blanketID members in the US and Canada. If someone finds your pet, they can log on and contact you immediately.

The tags are lightweight, waterproof, scratch resistant, and noiseless, because they have a crystal clear, durable, rubberized coating on both sides. They are also very small and come in a variety of awesome mod designs. All the blankedID tags are made in North America.

For every purchase of a blanketID tag and membership, a portion of the funds are donated to the Blanket Fund for Animals. The funds are all used to help animals in need. You can read about some of the animals that have been helped on the blankedID blog.
BlanketID tags sell for $24.99 CAD, which includes the first year’s membership. Additional yearly memberships can be purchased with discounted package pricing.

BONUS GIVEAWAY! TEN WINNERS!
Ten lucky winners will each receive a blanketID tag and a 1-year membership! To enter, please visit the blanketID website and pick your favorite ID tag design. I have to pick?! I think I love the orange with the red/orange/yellow rainbow because they match my kitties purrrrrfectly.
April 26th, 2010 at 8:45 am
Butterfly Green matches Winstons eyes.
April 26th, 2010 at 8:48 am
Love the Gingham Orange, I think it would go well with both my Siamese and my Tuxedo kittah!
April 26th, 2010 at 8:55 am
These are great! I must have them for all five cats in my house…. >”<
April 26th, 2010 at 8:55 am
what are your opinion with collars and cats? i was always told you shouldnt put a collar on a cat. If they get out they could get caught up in stuff because of the collar.
We lost our cat last thursday and she doesnt have a collar.. luckily she came home last night on her own. She is microchipped but that is probably only good if someone actually catches her and takes her into a animal pound.. the likely hood of that is probably close to none.

I love the Gingham Orange design! It would look great on my new kitten Tony the Tiger
And like Chris said, great idea and very lovely designs!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:04 am

April 26th, 2010 at 9:04 am

April 26th, 2010 at 9:05 am
I like the Butterfly Green. These are so nice.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:05 am
My favorite tag is the peony green – it matches my cat’s green eyes and would be fantastic against her fluffy grey.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:06 am
I like the Plaid Neutral for my kitty.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:06 am
these are great! i’m a fan of the gingham and plaid in both colors
April 26th, 2010 at 9:06 am
I think the Butterfly Green would be beautiful on my kitten, Moxie. I could buy the other two for the boys separately.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:06 am
Ooh, I really love the peony green design! My cats would look so stylish wearing one of these.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:06 am

April 26th, 2010 at 9:07 am
i love how they look on the kitties in the photos, but there isn’t a design i really like – especially for my ragdolls. i suppose if i had to pick one of them, then i would pick the plaid green.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
How adorable are those?
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Gorgeous designs, but more than that- effective.
Here’s hoping that people will be inspired to have another way to get their beloved kitties home.
I am partial to the “Gingham Neutral,” but they’re all lovely designs, for sure.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Great idea! (plaid green)
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Great idea! I love the Plaid Green color, it would match my cat’s bright green eyes perfectly!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Gingham Neutral is best for my kitty!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:08 am
They’re all great designs, but I think the Peony Green is my favorite!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Rainbow Neutral is my favorite; it would go well with my tabby’s coat!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Would love to win this!!! All the designs are great, but I think my favorite is butterfly green!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Those are cute!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Rainbow orange, definitely. For my orange polydactyl cat, it’s a perfect match!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
That neutral butterfly is really purrty! Mom hadda have us all micro-chipped because some of us won’t wear a collar, well, not for long anyway.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Great idea! Love the butterfly neutral!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Rainbow Neutral is nice.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:10 am
I like Gingham orange for my little guy.
I like the design of the tags, but I’d still like to have my phone number on the tag. What if an older person finds the cat who doesn’t know how to use the internet? Or what is someone just doesn’t want to take the trouble of the extra step to go online and lets your cat go, assuming he/she will find their way home eventually? This is the same issue if you rely only on the microchip.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:10 am
This would be great for my one cat who INSISTS on being allowed outside!
And comment to Logan – you can purchase breakaway safety collars for cats that will, well, break, if the cat gets caught on something. You can find lots on amazon or with a google search.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:10 am
What a great idea! I’m getting a new kitten and this would be wonderful for him. My favorite design is the “Rainbow Neutral” tag. Very stylish.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
I like the Peony Green tag, it’d be so helpful for my gray tabby cat as we just moved across the country!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
I like the black and blue plaid.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Also, regarding the collar comment… BREAK AWAY COLLARS!!! If they get snagged, they come off. This is why I believe in both collar/tag & microchips. The tags provide a more immediate way for someone to find me, but the microchip will work if the cat goes to the vet, or shelter. Do both to get your cat home sooner.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Trellis orange for my modern boy Pi.
They are really lovely.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Great tags!!! I love them all but Trellis Orange grabs my attention. My friend’s cat walked away from the garage and he thought he lost it but then exactly one month later the cat returned. She’s 16 and almost deaf so how she survived out there that long is something else.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:11 am
Plaid Neutral or Gingham neutral.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:12 am
Loooove the Gingham Orange! It would match my kitten’s eyes!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:12 am
I like the gingham orange or the neutral rainbow.
Great!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:12 am
What a great idea!
I really could not pick a favorite as I like them all. I would be happy just to be a winner of one.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:12 am
These are beautiful. My cats would love either the butterfly design since they love chasing them, or the rainbow design since they’ve brought so much happiness into our lives. Neutral color fit their classic gray tabby design!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:13 am
We are moving to a new neighborhood and my Kitty could really use a new tag.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:13 am
what a great product! My favorite is the Butterfly Neutral and my cat and I would love one of these! Especially since we tend to move a bit, it’s good to have a website where the contact info can simply be updated.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:13 am
butterfly neutral would be fab for me. it goes with my fur.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:13 am
Really like the Trellis Orange would be very handsome on Bo who’s chocolate or Boogie who’s an ebony smoke.
