Introducing blanketID, another great way to help protect your cat in case they get lost, plus, with this system, you’ll be helping other animals in need at the same time! This Victoria, BC-based company is dedicated to helping pets. They have created a line of very stylish ID tags that each have a unique ID number. Pet owners register the ID online at blanketID.com and enter your contact information as well as a description and photos of your pet. If your pet is lost, simply report your pet as missing through the website and blanketID sends a broadcast email to local SPCA, animal hospitals, shelters, other local blanketID members in the US and Canada. If someone finds your pet, they can log on and contact you immediately.

The tags are lightweight, waterproof, scratch resistant, and noiseless, because they have a crystal clear, durable, rubberized coating on both sides. They are also very small and come in a variety of awesome mod designs. All the blankedID tags are made in North America.

For every purchase of a blanketID tag and membership, a portion of the funds are donated to the Blanket Fund for Animals. The funds are all used to help animals in need. You can read about some of the animals that have been helped on the blankedID blog.
BlanketID tags sell for $24.99 CAD, which includes the first year’s membership. Additional yearly memberships can be purchased with discounted package pricing.

It was so difficult to decide, but I think Gingham Neutral is my favorite.

Rainbow Orange, I have two cats, one is an adopted stray who is quite happy in the house, the other is an 18 month old Kitten we got at 7 weeks. She wants to go out very badly. Always trying to escape. This would help us feel more secure.

I like the rainbow neutral. Our Woodgie is an indoor kitty, but if she got out (which she has) I’d be glad to know she’d have more than a phone number to get her found.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:39 am
the gingham orange will look very handsome on my little escape artist!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:39 am
Kobe, our red tabby/maine coon mix would look great in the Trellis Orange. The collar pictured is a dog collar and not safe for cats.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:39 am
What a great idea – I love the Rainbow Nuetral.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:41 am
My favourite is the Trellis Orange!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:41 am
Trellis Orange would be great for my girls and I like the plaid green for my boys! GREAT idea and I really like the fact that some proceeds go to a great cause. Nice job!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:41 am
Cee Cee LOVES the Butterfly Neutral — its background blends in with her dark (tortie) fur, so the butterfly will look like it’s floating in front of her !
April 26th, 2010 at 9:42 am
Oh..definitely the butterfly tag for my princess.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:43 am
These are gorgeous tags – what an excellent service they provide, too! Thanks for sharing this!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:45 am
The Brown Butterfly Tag would look great on the newest addition to my family. My neighbors moved and left this beautiful cat to fend for herself. So now she has a forever home with me.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:46 am
I really like all the cute designs, but I think “Butteryfly Green” would really bring out my Londie’s eyes!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:46 am
Greta product – and the prices look reasonable for yearly memberships as well! My favorite is Butterfly Green.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:48 am
I love the Plaid Neutral! It will be perfect for one of my snowshoe boys.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:48 am
What a great idea! Plaid neutral would be a great fit for my kitty.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:48 am
I love the gingham neutral!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:49 am
Butterfly neutral
April 26th, 2010 at 9:51 am
I’d have to pick the Plaid Neutral, for my gray cat. Although, truthfully, I probably wouldn’t be able to buy one without consulting my girlfriend… less the tag clash with something else in the house. =P
April 26th, 2010 at 9:51 am
Even though my Carousalambrah has a chip, this gives her added protection and helps other animals. A win win situation.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:51 am
What a fabulous idea. I love the round stripes.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:52 am
I really like the red/orange flowered tag because it would look the prettiest on my black kitty!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:53 am
My favorite is the orange trellis, since it is the brightest of the bunch!
April 26th, 2010 at 9:57 am
I like the blue butterfly design. very cute tags
April 26th, 2010 at 9:57 am
I’ll go with Plaid Green to match his eyes.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:58 am
They are all really cute, but I guess I like Trellis Orange the best!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:01 am
I love the trellis orange! It’s so bright and easy to see!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:01 am
I would choose butterfly neutral for my kitty. He doesn’t get out much, but it would give me peace of mind! I like how small they are.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:02 am
Oh wow what a fab idea! I like them all but think Trellis Orange is my favourite!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:02 am
I love the bright orange-red with flowers. Would look so cute on my buff kitty Tango.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:05 am
The red would look amazing on Frank- rescued form the streets of Los Angeles. He’s a gorgeous black shorthair with neon orange eyes! Frank has been through so much adjusting to his new home/new life- this is EXACTLY what he needs to feel like the special boy he is!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:06 am
The orange check would look striking on my orange tabby Julius – he tends to be a home-body, but every now and then likes to wander! This tag would give me great piece of mind!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:06 am
Butterfly neutral is tres classy!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:07 am
I love these! My favorite is irrelevant – my cat, Mister, would probably prefer Plaid Neutral or Gingham Neutral. Mister is microchipped, but you can’t have too many ways to find your way home. This seems a great way to help other animals while benefitting your own. Thank you.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:08 am
I like Trellis Orange and Peony Green my 2 cats would sure love them.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:08 am
Rainbow Orange is my favorite.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:09 am
Butterfly Neutral would be quite fashionable on my gray tabby, Lily.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:11 am
So many great ones to pick from! Difficult to choose but I am a fan of orange so my vote is the Gingham Orange. I think all three of my furkids, Lilly, Shai & Tate would dig it
April 26th, 2010 at 10:11 am
So hard to choose a favorite design with so many adorable graphics… I think my black and white girl would look best in the Gingham Orange.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:11 am
they are all great…here are my choices: butterfly green, butterfly neutral, gingham neutral, plaid green, plaid neutral, rainbow neutral, trellis orange, peony green. Thank you!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:13 am
Rainbow Orange!!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:15 am
My favorite is definitely Peony Green! I hope I win!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:15 am
I like them all! But if I must choose, I would choose the butterfly green, peony green, plaid green, and trellis orange, in that order. I have four Scottish Folds and must match.
Great idea on the tags!!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:15 am
It really depends on the cat, but MY personal favourite is the orange trellis, followed closely by the green peony.
If orange trellis came in a green version, THAT would be my favourite!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:16 am
I like Trellis Orange!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:16 am
I love the plaid green design – it would match my cat’s green gingham collar perfectly! and also would be very helpful for us as he has successfully escaped out of my home a couple of times!
April 26th, 2010 at 10:17 am
I love the pink and orange daisies. I love how they have no corners or edges to get caught on. my cat is always losing her tag and blings cause they get caught on something.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:19 am
My fave is the plaid neutral one for my Darby boyo…I love this idea it’s alot less invasive than the chips too! kudos
April 26th, 2010 at 10:21 am
My favorite is Peony Green but the butterfly ones are a close second. One thing I would worry about is with a breakaway collar (essential for an indoor/outdoor cat)when it breaks away…the collar is usually lost along with the expensive tag.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:21 am
I like the gingham orange tag the best. I would feel safer if my cat was wearing this.
