Danish designer Ole Jensen created this rubber bin as a wash tub or storage bin, but this new French pet product site proposes using it as a litter box. It makes perfect sense! The bin is just the right size for small to medium cats, the soft sides allow kitty to climb over easily, and the curved edge would send loose litter back into the bin. Not mention how easy it would be to clean. A very smart adaptation of a beautifully designed product.
Available from Normann Copenhagen and the French pet product website Wapastore.com for €63, or about $80 US.

Very nice, stylish, practical and colorful! I’d like to see more color choices, and a design with a cutout “step-in” for cats with arthritis or mobility issues.

It could also easily be a bed!

great idea! i have two of these, actually; one i used for dishes for a while, the 2nd i got to give someone as a gift & never got around to it. i also have 2 regular litter boxes. i think i might try replacing one of those this evening with the wash tub & seeing how the kitties like it!

How does it hold up to those who scratch with intact claws? That’s been my biggest issue with traditional plastic boxes. Once the surface of the inside bottom has been clawed enough times, it becomes difficult to clean thoroughly.
If this isn’t an issue with these beautiful boxes, sign me up. The brown one looks like a chocolate candy.

These are a great idea, but I think you could do the same thing with a tub trug, which comes in many more colors and is cheaper.
