For all those cardboard-loving moderncats out there, this month’s giveaway is a Scratch Tower from Moderncat Studio! If your kitties like to scratch vertically, and if they like the feel of corrugated cardboard, they will love the Scratch Tower. I have one in every room (I need to do lots of testing) and several of my cats cannot walk by the Scratch Tower without giving it a little pick.
And remember, the Scratch Tower is fun for you, too, because you can rearrange the pieces to create all sorts of fun shapes. It’s functional art! Something you won’t mind having in the middle of your living room.

EXTRA CHANCE TO WIN!
To enter the monthly giveaway, make sure you’re signed-up to receive Moderncat updates via email. If you’re already getting the updates but you’d like an EXTRA chance to win this month, please leave a comment on this post. Complete details on the monthly giveaway here. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing on June 30. This giveaway includes free shipping to addresses in the US and Canada. International winners are welcome to enter if they are willing to pay the extra shipping charges.

Oh wow, it almost looks like Janga for kitties!
I like the idea of a tower scratcher, would be very helpful next to furniture since my cats often like to stand and scratch (corners of tables, back of couch, etc.)

June 2nd, 2010 at 9:26 am
Not a boring scratcher!
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:26 am
My cats would love this, especially my psycho kitty, who considers all cardboard boxes his sworn enemy. But even if they didn’t, I’d love it. The utter coolness of it would offset the not-so-coolness of the ordinary kitty condo in my living room.
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:26 am
very stylish. wonder how long it will take for my guy to tear it all apart
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:26 am

Please, please, please save my sofa. I’m so glad there is now cat furniture that’s not covered with beige carpet – that actually look designed.
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:27 am
I don’t know who will enjoy it the most. me, reconfiguring it’s shape, or the katz as a scratching post. Congratulations on the eco-chic design!
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:27 am
Love these! Could cardboard be any more chic?!
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:28 am
Oh my gosh this thing is AWESOME! We have an ultra-modern interior in our condo (thanks to my ridiculously discerning hubby) and he never lets me have anything for the cats unless it “matches the decor”! haha. This would go beautifully!
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:28 am

June 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 am
My cats could always use something new to scratch.
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 am
One of my favorite things about Moderncat is that this site has introduced me to such a wide variety of scratching solutions. We’re moving into a bigger apartment in a month and a half, and I can’t wait to hook our cats up with a lovely and functional scratcher. My chairs would probably be ever more excited, if they have feelings, which I hope they don’t at this point, poor chairs.
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 am
With four cats here at home and only one scratcher left, this unemployed person could sure use one before they turn to the furniture instead!
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 am
Elegant and functional! My girls would love it. Here’s hoping…
June 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 am

We have a horizontal cardboard scratcher that I made from boxes leftover from her kitty suplies I bought online! She loves it! I’m sure she would be crazy about this vertical one, and it looks great too! Thanks!
