If you’ve got very active cats who need to take their energy out on something other than your curtains, then this may be the product for you. It’s The Cat’s Trapeze from The Netherlands and I’ve never seen anything like it. They sent us one to test out and as you can see, Ando thinks it’s pretty comfy, although he’s a little too lazy to use it as it is really intended, but I can certainly imagine how this could provide a good distraction for some active kittens.
The Cat’s Trapeze was designed specifically to provide a place for cats to climb, which they do naturally. And wouldn’t you rather have them climb this instead of your curtains? The Cat’s Trapeze is made from durable, natural cotton/linen and comes in three sizes: single pillow, double pillow, and triple pillow, plus there’s a little hammock that can be attached to the bottom for an extra lounge spot. You can suspend The Cat’s Trapeze from the ceiling, or if your cats prefer a little more stability, place it against a wall or in a corner. You can use a variety of different hooks to suspend The Cat’s Trapeze from the wall, ceiling, or even from a door.
One of my first thoughts is that this may encourage cats to climb curtains, but if you already have curtain climbers, then this might be just the thing to deter them. Giving kitty her own special place to climb and play should take care of those natural instincts.

with 4 cats in the house the trapeze would be so versatile… sage would jump & swing, Saffy the deaf one would just snuggle up in the middle, Stoli would climb and Stella would with spray it or sit on the bottom rung whilst sage gives her a push LOL

Our cat Terry (the terror) would LOVE this! We have a cathedral ceiling in our kitchen/living room and he used to enjoy jumping on the counter, then to the fridge and onto the wooden beams. But as he’s taken on more weight and years, it’s become more & more difficult. This would be a great way for him to relive his youth. He could use it as a launching pad and then curl up for a snooze once he’s done with his circus act. His brother Timmy and sister Phoebe would love it too!

Boy-oh-boy! With two very active Siamese sisters under 1 year old you can imagine the climbing that goes on around here! Between the sliding door screens and our legs as we stand what a relief it would be to have something else for them to climb on! Cheers! Great idea!

I lost my home in the Nashville Flood on May 2nd. I have a multi-cat household, and all the contents were destroyed, including all my cat furniture and toys. But all the cats survived! I know they would love to have one of these in our next home! (Right now they are boarding at the vet’s office, and I am living in an extended-stay hotel.)

My kitty Dusty would love the Trapeze. He went from being an outside kitty ( we are in the country so traffic is no problem, but bobcats & stray cats roaming through caused him some grief ), so we enclosed our porch with heavy duty horse wire to keep him out of harms way. But he misses the exercise and the Trapeze would get him going!!

I have a very active cat that also prefers when we play with her, instead of playing on her own. So there’s a lot of crying in the house, and i’m always looking for interactive toys that she can play with without us, and i think this would do it! she loves her condo that we have now, and i think she’d really enjoy this. Fantastic! My cats would worship the ground I walk on if I brought home this fabulous trapeze. Or…just ignore me some more but at least they would look super cool doing so.
