Here’s a fun and easy summer IKEA hack for your cat. Jo found this decorative hat shaped bowl in the decor section at IKEA. She had a feeling that her adorable orange tabby Frank would like it for a bed, and she was right. It seems to be the perfect size and shape. Franks loves to lounge in his new summery hat bed. Jo plans to make a nice fluffy round cushion for the bottom.

I love this, it such a cute idea. While Ikea does not sell this online, I enjoy that you share these finds. It inspires me to look at objects not as what they are but as what they can be. Thank you.

Hacked this “bowl” 1.5 year ago or so, seemed like a great idea at the time and the cats liked it too. It had a life span of a few months though; since it’s sewn together like a hat in a spiral fashion the cats soon scratched it into pieces. Which was ok, because it lost its shape anyway. So, I would recommend putting a cushion in it to avoid the scratching.
