Belgian artist Marcel-Louis Baugniet painted these two lovely feline forms in the 1920s. The simple geometry timelessly depicts our favorite subject matter.
Prints of both Le Chat Noir
(c. 1921) and Black Cat in Profile
(c. 1924) are available for $39.99 from AllPosters.com.

The simple forms of these paintings are just beautiful. I tried my own black kitty image as well (a digital painting), which Baugniet’s paintings reminded me of. It’s one of my favorites so I thought I’d share.

Not that I think my work is as good as Baugniet’s! I definitely don’t!

I REALLY love those. They capture the intelligence and mystique about cats.

These are GORGEOUS and hopefully will remind people of the special and unique beauty of the “house panther”, often overlooked in western eyes in “shelters”, for what reason I can’t comprehend. Oh, to be able to buy!

Absolutely, stunningly, sleek…and is a reminder of why I so love these creatures.
