I’ve never had my own Wallflower cat scratcher from Marmalade Pet Care, but I finally had a chance to test one out and I absolutely love it. It’s so great that it makes me even more sad that these are being discontinued! I always thought that they were smaller, but the Wallflower scratcher is actually a substantial size at 34″ long and 3.5″ wide. When you mount it on the wall according to the directions, it is the perfect height for cats — even big cats — to get a good stretch while scratching. And it’s so beautiful, like a piece of modern sculpture.
Here’s Ando giving a little demonstration:

You can also order the Wallflower without the wall clips and use it on the floor. Some cats, like Mackenzie, prefer to scratch horizontally.

I have word that there are not very many Wallflowers left in the Marmalade inventory clearance, so if you want one, this is your last chance. The Wallflower is available to Moderncat readers for just $23.10 and the wall clips are $17.60, both prices include shipping. Order one today here.

my cat (also a handsome black cat like Ando) has an orange wall flower and loves it. Ordered two replacement pads on sale so should be good for a lifetime of scratching now! For a cat that likes to get a good long stretch/scratch in on a stable surface this is a great looking option. Having it attached to the wall saves room too.

McKenzie and my Sammi both like the horizontal scratch, I see! These are gorgeous (as is your home, and I see we share the same taste in sculpture!)

How difficult is it to attach to the wall?

@DeKa It’s quite easy to attach. The brackets each have two holes and attach to the wall with screws and wall anchors. Then you use two more screws on the sides of the brackets to hold the cardboard piece in place.

Oh wow, that’s really nice. I’ll have to go look at that closer. . . .

I got one for my new ocicat kitten Thaïs and she loves it so much she climbs it! She warms up by giving it a good scratch and then up she goes! LOL I have pics but don’t know how to post them…
