Moderncat reader Helen was inspired by the German cat caves, Katzenhohle, that I posted back in May, and she decided to try her hand at creating some of her own. Here are the results and I think she did a wonderful job! Helen’s Casa di Gata (Italian for House of Cat), as she calls them, are made from 100% pure wool. Helen first crochets, then decorates, and finally felts and stiffens each casa. No two casas are the same.
These three designs were made for Helen’s clients. Each one is very unique! Helen is located in Melbourne, Australia. Casas range from $180 to $260 AUD (that’s about $160 to $232 USD) plus shipping, which could get a bit pricey for overseas orders.
