I’m absolutely fascinated by cardboard design and these new toys are one of the coolest designs I’ve seen. The Amazing Treat Machine Rollers are little cardboard toys that you put together from pre-punched cardboard. Each one holds a catnip packet (comes with the toys) and has a compartment for placing treats. When the toys roll across the floor, the treats fall out, enticing kitty to keep playing (at least until all the treats are gone).

The rollers come in a set of four in a cool little box that would make a great gift for any cat lover. You punch out the pieces and assemble the rollers. The design is truly brilliant and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. There’s even a video showing you how to assemble the rollers.

They sent us some rollers to test out and the cats like them as much as I do. Ando and Theo were the first to give them a sniff:

Then I made this little video. As you can see, Ando is the worst treat thief ever! I didn’t realize just how bad he is until I saw all the clips of him stealing treats. He’s terrible! And, yes, he did throw up promptly after making the video. Too many treats. (If you can’t see the video below in your email, click here to watch it on the site.)
The Amazing Treat Machine Rollers are $9.95 for a set of four and can be purchased online at AmazingTreatMachine.com or at Amazon.

Oh, how I would love to have a set for the feral kitties that take shelter in our garage (yes, they are spay/neutered and have their shots – all nine of them). It’s wonderful to watch them interact with new toys, and they LOVE treats…. I hope my feral kitties are a winner!!

October 27th, 2010 at 2:20 pm
these are so cute my kitty’s want them
October 27th, 2010 at 2:21 pm
oh that would be a perfect toy for our 5 cats… One kitty named Boo knows we are deaf and in the kitchen Boo our youngest kitty jumps on the counter-top and puts his paw on Larry’s arm and looks up at the shelf where we keep cat treats then looks at Larry like please give me some treats. Larry really spoils the cats and give them 3 or 4 treats.. Boo would steal if other cats don’t eat.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
My fat cat would love to destroy this to get to the treats.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
I have a cat without a home so I have gived her one she will love the toy very much
October 27th, 2010 at 2:24 pm
Love that they’re cardboard. Cats would enjoy these.
Wonder how big those holes are for treats though?
Either way, looks like fun for the little monkeys.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:27 pm
Very cute, simple and stylish! They sure do pass the kitty approval test.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:27 pm
Now THIS looks like a good time! I wish they made them for humans… but I guess I’ll just have to live vicariously through my kitty!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
How cute! Finally, a nice toy that isn’t made from harmful plastic that costs the environment to make. This would be great for even more 17 year old (still a kitten, really!)She would play, just to get the treat.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:36 pm
Cute!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:37 pm
These look super fun. I wonder if I could keep my dog from eating them to get the kitty treats.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:38 pm
OMG! How creative! It would be non-stop playing with my kitties!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:41 pm
Awesome invention! I have three kitties and chewy would definitely be the treat thief! Kitten would play for hours with just the cardboard paying very little attention to the treats and Tilli-bird would play until she had gotten all of the treats. What a great way to keep the kitties out of mischievious things.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:44 pm
my kitties would likey!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
Looks like a hit!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:49 pm
This looks like a great toy! I’d love to see if my 3 lazy cats would actually play with these. They’re pretty picky about their toys. But they do love their treats.
October 27th, 2010 at 2:54 pm
I’m not sure if my cat would get it, but I’d love to try her on it!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:55 pm
