I’m absolutely fascinated by cardboard design and these new toys are one of the coolest designs I’ve seen. The Amazing Treat Machine Rollers are little cardboard toys that you put together from pre-punched cardboard. Each one holds a catnip packet (comes with the toys) and has a compartment for placing treats. When the toys roll across the floor, the treats fall out, enticing kitty to keep playing (at least until all the treats are gone).

The rollers come in a set of four in a cool little box that would make a great gift for any cat lover. You punch out the pieces and assemble the rollers. The design is truly brilliant and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. There’s even a video showing you how to assemble the rollers.

They sent us some rollers to test out and the cats like them as much as I do. Ando and Theo were the first to give them a sniff:

Then I made this little video. As you can see, Ando is the worst treat thief ever! I didn’t realize just how bad he is until I saw all the clips of him stealing treats. He’s terrible! And, yes, he did throw up promptly after making the video. Too many treats. (If you can’t see the video below in your email, click here to watch it on the site.)
The Amazing Treat Machine Rollers are $9.95 for a set of four and can be purchased online at AmazingTreatMachine.com or at Amazon.

My Nicki cat would probably steal all the treats from Camille… But I could always separate the cats so they both get in on the fun!

Perfect for my cats!
Sidney would relish the challenge, & Glory – well, Glory could use the challenge. And, it’s cardboard, ultimately cat-tasty.

Those treat rollers look like great fun! I’m sure my cats would enjoy them.
How do you keep a WHITE carpet so clear of stains, when we *know* that kitties only upchuck coloered vomit on white?
October 28th, 2010 at 10:18 pm
The kitties are always looking for new and fun toys! I can see my one food-crazy cat eating the cardboard to get to the nip or treats!

We have a cat rescue, we take in cats that people can no longer keep due to moving, health, losing their house, whatever. The cats range in age from 6 months to 12 yrs old. They all love toys and we spend alot of time buying toys or making them… This is a GREAT ! idea. I am sure our kitties would go nuts over these. they love their treats.

Wow, I make something like this using papertowel or toilet paper cardboards, BUT since the rolls will soon be out without the cardboard, I guess I’ll have to make my own OR Buy These . . . I could also WIN some too, huh? Hint, hint!

Cute. And my cat loves to bite cardboard boxes, so these would be fun for him and I wouldn’t feel too bad about them being torn up as he plays with them.
