We have a very exciting giveaway this month! It’s Square Cat Habitat’s brand new product, the new Acacia cat tree, a smaller version of the Baobab. Both are beautiful sculptural forms that look amazing in a modern home. The original Baobab is five feet tall and the Acacia is three feet tall. It’s the perfect size for any space and the cats absolutely love it.

The Acacia has three platforms, two “branches” for climbing and one large “treetop” for lounging. The platforms have recessed carpet inserts to prevent kitty from slipping. You can choose from a huge variety of colors and textures to match your decor perfectly and the inserts are easy to clean and replace if necessary. The Acacia and Baobab are both available in three different finishes: black or white low-pressure laminate over Arreis sustainable design fiberboard, or Plyboo architectural plywood made from 100% renewable bamboo.

EXTRA CHANCE TO WIN!
The November giveaway winner will receive an Acacia cat tree in either black or white laminate with their choice of carpet inserts. To enter the monthly giveaway, make sure you’re signed-up to receive Moderncat updates via email. If you’re already getting the updates but you’d like an EXTRA chance to win this month, please leave a comment on this post. Complete details on the monthly giveaway here. The winner will be chosen in a random drawing on November 30. This giveaway includes free shipping to addresses in the US. International readers are welcome to enter if you are willing to pay the extra shipping charges.

I’ve never had a cat tree before even though I’ve had cats all my life. I’ve never felt the need. Even my dearly departed Aby always managed to find a perch that suited him without too much trouble. But now we have an Ocicat kitten and life is different around here.
I am thinking we definitely need an appropriate way for her to climb. She loves to scale her Wallflower scratcher but she’s ambitious and needs another challenge! This tree has just the right modern feel and approriate scale for our mid-century ranch.

Wow, this cat tree looks like something my 9 furbabies would fall over each other as they scamper and climb trying to reach the highest level. I’m sure it would be a sight and definitely a “Kodak Moment”. They instinctively know a good thing when they see it and reaching the top would be like climbing Mt. Everest!

Wow, this is amazing.
My babies, Mona and Nora, would love this to be added to their “kitty city”

One can never have to many things to climb on, especially when they look _this_ good

I love it! Not only is the design really nice, the size is perfect. I live in a small apartment, and some climbing trees are just too big.
November 23rd, 2010 at 9:28 am
Our cat population has more than doubled this year and we could use some good cat furniture to keep our new little ones from causing too much trouble and destroying things they shouldn’t be hopping around on. Wild little cats are so much fun to watch grow and get adjusted to people. It’s so rewarding!
