It’s hard to believe your eyes, but these are paper sculptures created by Matthew Ross. Each one is made by hand cutting and sculpting individual pieces of paper and assembling with glue. The result is a three dimensional work of art. Available from Matthew’s Etsy shop.

These are undeniably the most adorable and realistic rendition of why we love cats – that sweet exprtession that just says hug me. ANd thye are done wioth paper no less. I have purchased paintings that don’t have THE expression nor tug at the heart like these do. Love to see the inspirations.

Matthew Ross is so talented! I love the three dimensional feel these convey. Cute faces too…not dorky looking like some renditions of felines seem to be!

We ordered the tuxedo kitten from Matthew and it is EVERY BIT as cute as you’d think! Even more! He shipped it very carefully and it arrived in perfect condition!
On a sad note, Kitty lost a whisker in an unfortunate dresser-top accident, but I want you to know that I contacted Matthew and all I have to do is send him Kitty back and he is going to do a repair for us!
I could not be happier with this artist or his work. He’s awesome.
