We’re going to kick-off our Holiday Give-a-thon with one of the coolest cat inventions ever — the SnoozePalâ„¢ from Cat Above! This inventive cat hammock-in-a-box is a sure crowd pleaser for kitties looking to hangout in comfort. The sturdy cardboard box creates a cozy enclosed area with lookout windows on three sides. The fleece-lined hammock molds to kitty’s shape for extreme comfort, plus it’s removable and washable.
To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment on this post telling us the name of the charity where you will donate the second SnoozePal if you win. Please leave a link to the charity’s website if possible. The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve along with all the other give-a-thon winners. The winner will get to choose the fabric for the hammock.
Thanks, Cat Above!

I LOVE this!! Good Mews is an amazing no-kill shelter in the Atlanta area, and I know they would love to have something like this. http://www.goodmews.com

I have three cats, but only one SnoozePal, so they take turns. They like laying in it, especially my 17-year old tabby.
I would donate the second one to the Humane Society of Manatee County in Bradenton, FL

What an awesome idea!! I love this, and I bet my Burmese, Tajar would, too.
If I were to win, I would want the second SnoozePal to my local humane society, which is a no kill shelter. St. Tammany Parish Humane Society has an awesome “cat house” for all the kitties waiting for their forever homes. As a volunteer, I can go in anytime and be a “cat hugger” which is my favorite job there.

Love these so much! Always finding uses for cardboard at our house. With 3 cats we are always trying to build new forts for them. Keeps them occupied while I work. Not a local no kill shelter where I currently live, would donate to Annapolis, Maryland no kill shelter.
November 30th, 2010 at 4:59 pm
My cats are pawing at the screen over this one! We would definitely donate the second to the Ingham County Animal Shelter, from which all 3 of my boys were adopted: http://www.ingham.org/ac/home.htm

My cats would love a hammock like this, so would the older cats looking for homes at the Washington Animal Rescue League (warl.org). It has a special program to encourage folks to adopt mature cats, think how great the cats would look sleeping in a Snooz-Pal.
Thanks.

These are wonderful. I would donate both to Town Lake Animal Center, in Austin, TX it is a shelter that never turns away any animal that is dropped off! My cat is a large mostly British blue, plus he really has a lot of swaggy places to sleep. I volunteer there in the ISO unit, giving URI cats and kittens there treatment. Now that TLAC has a great volunteer system in place we are on our way to being a no kill center. We have a foster care in place for contagious cats and dogs, this summer there was a population explosion of kitties, so we had, cataploza, sale, set up Desperate housecat weekend for long stays. We have been able to get the tinist kittens fostered so they are not exposed to shelter disease, foster ringwoom before it spreads. I many of us who volunteer there also foster, but the big foster boom was when we asked the comunity to help foster. The sick cat recover sooner and cat in a homme envirerment get adopted so much quicker. We have a great education system that goes to schools, annual events like Jazz on the green, to inform poeple where to get afordable spay and nuter, work with other programs in the city, like blue dog, ASAP, and the humanie center. I could just keep going on and on about all the new and old programs we have, and yes there is a trap and release program, but I’ll stop now.

The concept of giving two prizes is fantastic! I would love to see the second prize go to the ‘shelter’ or one of the foster homes where we found our precious and ‘wooly’ Napoleon about one year ago, “Paws of Gold”. Now that I think of it, if we win we will gladly donate BOTH of these great Snooze Pals to kitties who have far less than our 3 boys! Let’s spread the joy!

I would donate the second to Smart Petz rescue because they took good care of my Roger and never gave up on him. He was brought to them as a kitten with a severe eye injury, which eventually cost him his eye. They paid for his health care, nursed him back to health and fostered him until we discovered he was meant to be my boy. Now he’s the clown of the house and I can’t imagine what life would be without him.

The White Kitty Foundation helps cats and dogs – both as a privately funded rescue as well as occasionally offering funds for families who would otherwise be unable to afford care. They are asked to give much, much more than they receive, and deserve any little bit of help they can get.
