We have a bonus give-a-thon prize today from watercolor artist Jobi Harris. Jobi is offering two 8 x 10 custom water color portraits, one for you and one for your favorite charity. This is a great prize for a charity to receive because they could use it to honor a special kitty or volunteer, or they could use it for a fundraiser by offering it as an auction or raffle prize. The retail value is $150, so that could be a very nice fundraiser.
To enter to win, please leave a comment on this post with the name of the charity you would donate the second portrait to. The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve along with all the other give-a-thon winners. Thanks, Jobi!

Two of those would go straight to Habitat for Cats. They have an event in the works for May and those would be great for a silent auction to raise funds for their feral cat TNR clinic program and to rescue more kitties. I hope I win for them. Thanks D

I would love this portrait of my cat Bandersnatch, who just passed away yesterday at the age of 19.5. He was my sweet boy – I can’t even begin to tell you. There are cats you love, and then there are cats who become the warp to your weft. There are no words. I would give the second portrait to http://www.icareforpets.org/ ICARE in Inyo County California, where I live. They always need good charity raffle things, and this would be lovely and compelling.

My charity would be the Quincy Animal Shelter. We have auctions for items such as Boston Red Sox tickets. I think this would be a great addition to the auction items for those that aren’t interested in sports.

I have been thinking about getting a kitty portrait, so this is timely. I would donate the other portrait to the Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County companion pet program, which provides free food, treats, toys, and even certain vet services to the beloved companion pets of their elderly and disabled clients. These pets are often the only friends the clients have in life anymore. The organization could auction it at one of its special events, and I know that with all the pet lovers involved with the organization, it would raise a lot of money.
