I have to tell you about a truly creative fundraiser from the awesome cat sanctuary Tabby’s Place in Ringoes, New Jersey. They created an online catalog of virtual gift baskets that you can purchase for a special kitty in honor of a loved one. Chose from gift baskets for diabetic cats, cats with heart disease, kittens, senior kitties, or special holiday-themed baskets. You make a donation and choose someone to honor with the gift. Tabby’s Place purchases the items for the kitties and sends your loved one an e-card and/or a printed card. What a great idea!

This is an amazing way to help other cats, and gives a wonderful opportunity to give a gift to someone who “has it all” (if there are still any of those out there) for the holidays. Also a meaningful living tribute to a beloved feline that will help others to thrive.

Great idea, my beloved GirlCat died of kidney failure, and this would be such a great tribute to her to help others in her memory. Wonderful that people are doing this, thanks for posting; terrific fundraising idea for cat shelters.
