Here’s a fun new item from Cat Above, but this one’s not for the cat, it’s for cat moms! This beautiful necklace uses the Morse Code to spell out a message using green jade tubes as “dashes” and aventurine beads as “dots.” Double pewter flowers divide the words and single pewter flowers separate the letters. You can choose from one of four cat-themed messages:
- Cats don’t have owners, they have staff.
- What greater gift than the love of a cat.
- To err is human, to purr is feline.
- A cat can purr its way out of anything.
Or you can create your own custom message with up to 40 characters, including spaces.
The necklace measures 18″ long and sells for $35 (+$5 for a custom message.) Available from CatAbove.com.

What an original idea! I think I would chose a custom message that included all the names of my cats, past and present.

I would go with “What greater gift than the love of a cat.” That’s so true…my babies always make me feel better and they always know when I need them. It’s such a sweet thing to wake up with a cat purring in your face and nuzzling your cheek, curl up with you while you read a book, or play chase out in the yard. I love my feisty little ones.

What a unique idea for a necklace! I love the one that says “A cat can purr its way out of anything.” This describes my cat Beau to a tee as he is always getting into mischief.

Perfect way to communicate with those in the know. Although I call my cat many names, there is his “His deep and inscrutable singular Name” – and that is what I would have on the necklace

February 9th, 2011 at 9:08 am
What a cool and very attractive idea. As the Kitty Mom of 8, I would definitely choose “what greater gift than the love of a cat.” I have that love times 8, and it is better than any “human” love I have been exposed to. Totally unconditional, and it does not depend on mood, things bought, etc. I will take a feline over a human any day!!!!!
February 9th, 2011 at 9:09 am
Gorgeous!! I adore all of the messages, but think I would select “To err is human; to purr is feline.”
Thank you!
