The Japanese architecture team Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANNA created this modern Neko wrist watch for the Italian design company Alessi. Made of Polyurethane and available in five colors, the Neko watch does not have a fastener but simply embraces your wrist.

Available from the Alessi online store for $95 US.

So by “simply embraces your wrist” that little piece of add copy means “only fits a few people since the size isn’t adjustable”, right?
I mean, it’s a cool piece of modern cat design, but as a functional object it doesn’t seem terribly practical.

These watches are so cute! I like how they subtly suggest the silhouette of a cat instead of slamming it into your face like, “HERE’S A CAT ON YOUR WRIST!” It almost makes me wish I was a watch-wearer.
